DMP hunt in 3M

I was fortunate enough to get my DMP tags for 3M. I was hoping for 3P because I am stationed on West Point, but the stars were not aligned for me. Now I am searching for a place to hunt. I was hoping for Stewart Forest, but noticed there are no rifles allowed there. I talked to the game warden and he said to try near Plattekill where there was about a 20 acre area to hunt that was open for the public. I will use if if needed I guess but I am assuming there will be a great number of other people with the same idea about that area. Anyone have any ideas where to hunt for doe in 3M that is open to the public. I would even settle for a land owner who has too many deer in their orchard/field and need them thinned out a little. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

im in the same boat as you. Thats what im worried about too many hunters in 3M due to the extra tags given out

The tags they gave out starting Nov 1 were already available before that, people just didnt apply for them, so they were left over. They didnt just decide to add more after they were all out of them.
