Share your opening day tactics?

I'll play the wind and what other hunters do... try to sit most of the day... Also try not to get to discouraged when I hear 100 rounds before noon time...

Sit all day and enjoy being there sharing the day with the outdoors. Remember it is better than being at work!

I plan to get into my spot at 545am, shoot an 8 pointer at 655am and drop him dead in his tracks, gutted and dragged to the truck by 9am, drop him off at the butcher at 930am, home by 10am. haha, i can wish right?

This did happen 1 time in my life. Opening Day of 2007. Basket 8.

Nobody in our hunting party of 6, 2 wmu's, have harvested a deer in 13 years on opening day. That being said, I take my hot tea, heavier coat, and maybe a Hostess cup cake with me. The only thing that has changed over the last 5 weeks, is bow to a gun, the coat, and the cup cake. Oh, the deer have changed alot too. Good Luck.
