NY Trophy Hunter
Rose, Wayne County, N.Y. – A hunter died on Saturday after he fell from his tree stand. Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies say David Ternoois, 46, died after he fell about 21 feet. Ternoois was hunting on Covell Road in the Town of Rose. The medical examiner pronounced him dead at the scene. Ternoois’s death is still under investigation, but authorities have no reason to believe it’s suspicious. 132 eight pointer
Wear your fall restraint or hunt from the ground. Another example of it won't happen to me. This guy should of been with his family for many more years,I am sorry for their loss.
ncountry
Sad to hear. I know until this year I was an invincible non safety harness wearing hunter.I still do not believe I am going to fall but I wear a harness now.I work const.. and do more dangerous things daily but I do that out of the necessity to make a living. Not for me but for my family.Even the work related hazards ought to be minimized more than they are. Deerthug
So sad! Prayers go out to the family who have to make sense of his stupidity for not wearing a harness.
Brushbuster
Why so high - most times 20' up means you are looking thru more foliage. I seldom need to get higher than 8' and sometimes I drop from that for a less obstruction.
