Sapsuckers - whoops!

These two yellow bellied sapsuckers were going at it in the air and then our house got in the way. Heard them both hit the second story window and then saw them hit the deck, one of them right in front of me. Was just looking out the lower window when they crashed. No breathing, dead on impact. One of them still has feathers in his beak from the other. 
So, the obvious question is...deep fried or roasted?

They found better accommodations apparently. No pics since over a week ago. A fat chuck was hanging around every day since they left. I think he’s land squatting on the hole.
