fasteddie
.....working on you or a family member ? Respiratory therapists perform a variety of therapies and diagnostic tests to help patients who have problems breathing. Therapists may work with patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer. They also work with individuals who have problems breathing due to head trauma and smoke inhalation. Respiratory therapists may work with patients of every age, including babies born prematurely. They primarily work in hospitals; however, some therapists also work for pulmonary rehabilitation programs, respiratory equipment companies or provide home health services. Almost all states in the United States require a license to practice as a respiratory therapist. JimR
This is taken from the NYS Office of the Proffesions website. The info below pertains to another RT. This type of info can be searched for all licensed professionals in NYS. As an RT myself I can tell you this guy could have caused some real tragedy for patients and their familys trying to function while drunk. He should not work as a healthcare profesional again. Profession: Respiratory Therapist; Lic. No. 006596; Cal. No. 25751 Regents Action Date: January 10, 2012 Action: Application for consent order granted; Penalty agreed upon: 2 year stayed suspension, 2 years probation, $1,000 fine.
