Getting Back In The Field

Hey everyone.  I finally decided to get back into spending my free time in the outdoors.  I haven't been hunting since I was about 14 years old, I'll be 30 in October.  My uncles own some property on the border of Sullivan and Ulster county, and I have friends in Esperence that have some spots too so I'm looking forward to this year.  It's weird to be a rookie at all of this again.

I enjoyed the old empire hunting site and used to read it regularly, I decided to actually post an intro on this site though now that I found it.  I've had trouble finding my old hunter ed. certificate so it looks like I'll be going to the class in New City next month then waiting impatiently and probably going after some ducks, geese and fall turkey.  I'm not sure if I'll be deer hunting this year.

I'm looking forward to participating a little in the discussions around here.

Neil

Welcome to the site and welcome back to thw wonderful world of hunting!

That's what I'm trying to dig up, I was either 12 or 13 at the time, whatever the minimum age is for a junior license, so it was back in the early 90's and my uncle who took me at the time can't remember the exact place, I know it was a sporting goods store somewhere around the Pearl River area and near Rt. 59.  Real specific right?  I'm hoping maybe if I get "close enough" info the DEC office can help me out.  If not I have no problem taking the class again, it might not hurt to get a refresher.  It does mean missing 3 nights of baseball though, but I think I'll manage.  :D
