WNYBuckHunter
Im wondering what would be the best plants to use in a food plot that is sitting in an area that gets pretty wet sometimes. Im not talking constant standing water in it, but its a pretty wet area for most of the year. What the guy planted in them last year, didnt really turn out well and last I talked to him, it sounded like he was giving up on the plots in favor of other areas. I believe what he planted was all brassicas, radishes, turnips, etc. Id like to try my hand at planting some different stuff in there. I was thinking about clover, as it seems to do well at my dad's place in areas that stay wet. What else may do well in there, its somewhat shady as well. G-Man
Clover works well in heavier/wetter soils, wild rice is possible depending how wet it is..
