Long island fishing report.

 Might be heading down to long Island next week. Port Jefferson area. Looking for recommendations of where to go fishing and what is going on  fish wise. Looking for shore fishing.

Port Jeff is five minutes from me.  You could check out Cedar Beach.  There's a fishing pier at Cedar Beach park where Mt. Sinai harbor meets the Sound.  People fish there on the beach when blues and stripers are in.  I honestly don't know if there's anything happening right now.  People also fish the back of Mt. Sinai harbor where the boats are moored- when the tides are right and the stripers are around, they chase baitfish back into the harbors.  You could also check Celtic Quest- they run charters and party boats out of Port Jeff.
