Taxidermy.net have some experience taxidermist on their forum that have alot of information, and are straight shooters. Great bunch of people. I use the McKenzie Taxidermy Supply pickle method and has worked very well. I also found the quicker the hide is off the carcass, the less chance for slip. brudaman340 Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 I started tanning hides with nothing but my knowledge. It is pretty simple to some degree. I used a curatan by vandykes.
