wdswtr Posted July 26, 2012 Share Posted July 26, 2012 The oats I had in loast year as the same brand Grow. Deer did not touch it till after the first frost, then they hammered it pretty good. Was a 1 acre plot and it made it into winter just fine. Here is the thing though. The darn winter wheat seed did not grow at all until the following spring, and it grew in thick. growalot Posted July 26, 2012 Share Posted July 26, 2012 that should work out well then if I plant is with the hemp and beans,,,,those won't get too much growth do to lateness but the deer will still come into it and when the weather kills that off I'll still have food left for late season...this is also a good area for turkey in the spring...so a spring pop up of any thing will keep the hunt on...Thanks for the info Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
