Hunting Grand Island

The land I hunted for the last several years has been leased out this year so I no longer have permission to hunt it. I live in the tonawanda area and my wife is having a baby soon so I don't want to travel too far. I was looking into hunting public lands on the island for bow this year. I'm not looking for your secret spot but if someone can point me in the right direction as to where I can hunt it would be greatly appreciated. I heard the powerlines but I don't know where they are or how to access them. Any help please?

The Island is (from what I've been told) a very difficult place to get permission.  People guard those spots like gold.  Fairly high pressure and limited access means you better own it or have a heck of a tight bond with the landowner.

PS, I'm over weight and kind of old so if you find a good spot with room for two, holler.  :)

You sound like a young guy.....hopefully I don't have to tell you that your apperiance, attitude, vehicle etc can go a long way towards securing permission. If you do get a positive response be gracious. Offering to help with any chores be a feather in your cap too. Where you gut a critter is important too.

Lots of ways to loose permission!!

Good luck.
