Yea but the path in will be covered with leaves after October 1st I have my stands up, just need to tighten the straps I loosen after the season. I will put my ground blinds up ASAP but probably not until October when I can get there . -

New property ? Neighbor riding 4 wheelers

Well AGAIN , the new owner wants NOBODY on the property except me !!! I was willing to let it ride EXCEPT during hunting season . And no I don’t hunt Turkey with a rifle , but I don’t hunt them with a bow either ! Not a lot of fun Turkey hunting an area to have someone come tearing they in a quad ! -

New property ? Neighbor riding 4 wheelers

?? No rifle Here’s the deal … the new owner doesn’t want anyone back there , wants me to post it and I can hunt it. For liability reasons he doesn’t want the kids or other hunters . He wants me to post it all. If the guy with the kid that rides asks me I’m going to say off the record I don’t see anything . But , I’d like him to stay off the property from October to December. I will be Turkey and deer hunting there. If he gets hurt and tries to come back on the owner , the property will be all posted -

Yea the land is a great spot for deer, the neighbors do t hunt but there is a guy that does and he take some very nice bucks off from it I’m more concerned about the 4 wheelers and having them there while hunting -

I’m going to post it and talk to the neighbor, I know him and he knows me . I’m more concerned about October , November and December but the new owner wants it’s posted and nobody but me on it -

The owner is a friend of mine he just bought it . He’s letting me do whatever I want until he moves here from Calif . In a few years.. He wants no one on it but me ..So technically I’m not leasing it , but he’s leaving me I charge. He just bought it but the previous owner did allow it -
So I’ll have a few years to hunt this 60 acre pc . Owner wants me to post it and I’ll have it to myself . I know the neighbor kid rides his quad on the property . I was thinking when his father asks me if he can ride, saying , look.,, Im posting it and putting up cameras , off the record I don’t see anything but come October 1st till the end of December it’s 100 percent off limits . Im sure he isn’t going to like it but ,,

Problem is that creek is 4 ft deep and I’d have to cross private property to get to it ..

? .243 and 50 cal muzzleloader max shots
luberhill replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
I use two 50 pellets and the Hornady bullet.. With the 243 I’d probably stick to 200 yards ? -
I have sighted both in slightly high at 100 yards.. The normal spots I hunt I would never have a shot further and most are half of that but … This new pc there are a couple places where shots could exceed 100 yards . In an open field setting , what would be the longest shot you would take on a deer with either of the above ?

Here’s a sat shot .. North is at the top of the page , East to the right

The guy next door used to hunt it, he set up a ground blind right on the end of the patch of woods facing the field to the west, Hecssid another guy used to hunt that strip of woods along the creek. I see what you mean about having to walk across that entire field to get to that woods. I could walk along that strip of trees between the north cornfield and the field … I forgot to draw in the north and south property line has trees that separate the cornfields from the property in hunting

Not really

Ok a friend bought this 60 acre pc to build on in 2 yrs So I have it to myself for a few years , maybe longer . There is a 40 or 50 yard strip of woods along the back ( west) side..it runs between two neighboring cornfields . The rest is mainly open meadow not planted .. There is a small 1/8 acre patch of woods in the meadow . Im thinking the bucks would stay in that west side strip of woods to travel from corn field to corn field . The meadow may be a good afternoon evening spot. I was thinking of a ground blind in that strip of woods .. What do u guys think i forgot to draw in the north and south property lines are about 25 ft wide strip of trees
