    Thanks! I figured the steel was thick enough to get drill and tapped, but honestly wasn't sure. I have had good luck with the sluggers in the past. Just never tried them in a single shot.

    On a more factual note, though, he certainly does not have overwhelming support in the military (or the veterans groups for that matter!)

    How many lives have been saved by car registration? ZERO. On average, over 30,000 people get killed in cars every year. Dammit, I think we might consider banning certain makes!

    Chicago requires gun registration-the homicide rate is through the roof. Washington D.C. had a total handgun ban. The result? A 200% increase in homicides. I'm not even going to go into the European theatre on this. It would seem that implementing new laws, just creates more victims. The numbers don't lie.

    I agree 100%. Unfortunately, some people seem to think that new laws are the cure all.

    Good question, to be honest. I would think that would be the status quo, but I really don't know.

    Amen to that! I spent 14 years in the military to defend the Constitution-not let the government dump on it. After all, if the government wanted all gun owners to jump off a bridge, would someone do that to? How much do you cherish your rights?!

    You cannot just buy a pistol without a permit. It's impossible. Even a private sale requires a permit.

    Steve863, in all realities, long guns account for a very, very, small percentage of crimes. Handguns account for the overwhelming amount of crimes, even though you can't just sell a handgun to anyone who doesn't have a valid permit. So, just how would these new regulations do any good???

    So you're saying that more regulation is the answer? Statistically, crimes with legally purchased firearms are much lower than illegally obtained ones.

    The whole point, is that if a president (any president),is willing to violate the Constitution on one issue, then they sure as hell are willing to violate it on others. Simply put, if it fits their own agenda, the Constitution means nothing.

    Yea-I'm trying to figure out how better background checks are going to do any good, when criminals don't normally buy them legally to begin with.

    Funny-he had no problem granting amnesty to illegal immigrants without approval from Congress (i.e. violated the Constitution), but we're expected to believe he would abide by the Constitution on this? Are you serious? Perhaps he can use his "executive privilege" bs line again!

    I agree with SteveB on this. Definitely not a vital area hit. I had seen the same thing once before. That deer was still alive and kicking weeks later. It had hit the muscle.

    I can honestly say that I have not seen much of anything in the area of 3F that I live in, that has even remotely resembled the rut. Quite frankly, there hasn't been a damned thing going on here!
