Elmo, mark the trail to your stand. Use surveyors tape. That's what I used to do.

I'm trying, Elmo. They finally, after me doing battle with them, submitted verification that I was covered until Aug. 4th, to the DMV. I still have to get my car out of impoundment, and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay for it, when I did nothing wrong. I'm wondering if I should sue for the hell we've been put through.

Wow! Sorry! That should have been referring to Aaron. My apologies, Aaron.

We have a receipt (online). We used a debit card. It is verified. Thanks, Grow. This is pure hell for us...........

Thanks, guys, for the support. It just makes it tougher, when you have a disabled son, which we need transportation for.

Thanks, Steve. You gotta wonder about the system sometimes. We go by the law, and we get screwed!

So, here it is, October 2nd, and I still haven't been able to even get an arrow rest, or sight for my bow. Why? Because my car got impounded because of a screw up on the part of the insurance company we signed up to in June. On June 4, we spoke to an agent of this company, and he quoted us a fantastic price of $82 a month. However, we would have to pay 2 months up front, for the first, and second month. So, we gave them the $164. Unfortunately, as of July 24, they cancelled our policy, claiming we didn't pay for July (note that we paid for the first two months up front). They didn't send us anything to notify us that they had done this. We were also NOT sent any payment plan. We figured we were good until Aug. 4. When it got past Aug. 4, and we didn't hear anything, my wife called them to ask where our bill was. They said not to worry, that everything was fine, and that a bill would be sent, when payment was due. Note, as to how my wife called them after the cancellation (which we weren't aware of), and they still didn't tell us anything. Needless to say, we didn't find out until September, when the DMV sent us a notice saying that our insurance had "lapsed" on July 24. My wife went and got insurance coverage right away. So, we didn't hear anything. The other night, I get pulled over on my way to work. The cop says that my registration is suspended. I honestly didn't know that. The end result: car impounded, ticket for no insurance (it is insured, he gave me a ticket for no insurance anyway, even though I provided the proof it was insured), and a ticket for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. So, after this fiasco, I raise hell with the Regional Manager. At first, he denies that we paid for two months up front. Finally, he says something to the effect that it was an "after hours" quote that we received, and claimed that somehow that made a difference. I had spoken to a REAL person, named Chris, who gave us this quote. I told him, that when it was, was irrelevant-a quote is a quote, and that's what we paid the two moths on. He claimed their was no documentation to support this claim. However, knowing that they record the phone calls, I asked him if they archive the recorded conversations for their own protection. I told him to pull up the conversation I had with Chris, to see if I was lying. All of a sudden, things changed. He told me that all he could do, was extend the coverage to Aug. 4, which as I stated earlier, was when we should have made our next payment. Apparently, he was full of it, and didn't want to admit that they made a serious mistake. Now, I have a car in impoundment that I can't afford to get out, and I have to rent a car to get to work, which I can't afford. Talk about screwed!

Sorry to hear that, Single Shot. There are, unfortunately, a lot of vets who are not getting the help they need. I was down the WTC, and I can't get any help at all, so I can relate. My regards, and sympathies go out to you, and his family.

Patience, patience, patience. That's the key to bowhunting. Quartering away shots are always an excellent option.

Unfortunately, the PBA's are notoriously inaccurate, since the pellet is pretty much traveling way too fast. Their just too light. I tend to like heavier pellets. I'd rather trade off speed, for accuracy, and downrange energy.

Same here, Shawn. I had a good time. Wish we had taken more, but, what the hell-we did see them at least. It was good to get out. -
I'm not going to debate that, one way or another. No one will knock you for your views on here (we will disagree, of course, if it's not our style), but in a civilized manner. Debating is one thing-demonizing everyone who disagrees, is another. There are actually a great bunch of guys-and ladies, on this forum. Jetmec, there is no questioning that your approach was ill willed, at best. Yes-there are good people on here, but no one on here is just going to lie down and take it. Simply put, no offense, no one is intimidated by you here. You need to discuss things more rationally.

Thanks for the support guys!

Well, well, well. It would appear that jetmec, and peterbfly are definitely one and the same. After all, the doe comment was made in reference to jetmec, NOT peterbfly. How is that, jetmec-or peterbfly?

Besides, the Marauder is nice and quiet. The .25 provides good knock down power at longer ranges. Gotta get to work, Shawn. Talk to you tomorrow. -

Nah. The .25 is great for bushytails! I'd go with the Marauder. -
Well, I have to go to work. Then I have to go to a veterans meeting tomorrow, so I won't be able to argue with your sorry self until tomorrow night. What a pity.

Well, I'll be damned! Is it even remotely possible that they owned these hunting implements before they lost their job?! Is it also possible someone might have loaned them a few bucks to get their license? Let's see-a whole deer for about $20, or one or two pieces of meat for $20? It's a friggin no brainer!

Who was crying the blues about anything? YOU'RE the one who was crying the blues about people shooting spikes. So, show me where I specified that I shoot spikes. You remind me of some of the little sissies we had in basic years ago. Whine, whine, whine, when things weren't the way they wanted them. Grow up already! Now, wait a minute. You're the self proclaimed expert on the subject-why don't YOU tell us what needs to be done, since you're obviously so much smarter than anyone else............ Now, wait a minute. You were telling me to hunt public land before, and you hunt private land, and own your own land???? Well, most of us don't have the luxury of owning land. I have nothing against those that do, as a rule, but in your case I'll make an exception!

Shawn-did Elmo contact you? We're going to hit Big Buck MUA. Definitely an air rifle! LOL -
That was the "TR" squirrel (tail restriction).
-
HAHAHA! You're killing me, Steve! LOL

It does seem odd.
