  1. Should have stopped and waited before going to TLC to pick up my dog. Have a 1/2 tank in both cars with another 5 gals locked up so we're good until the rest of the week. Good news I heard just on the news was that the new storm may be heading further east out to sea before it comes up north. Cross your fingers, toes and whatever else you can cross . . .
  2. I'm in Oyster Bay. Just drove to Huntington to pick up my dog and saw a station getting filled on Park ave and 25a with 5 cars in line. On way back was going to stop but the line was down about 1 mile already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Funny episode of According to Jim called the Hunters. Forward fast it to 8:30 and hold onto your coffee.
  4. LOL! Well if the title was "Deboning your deer" it may have gotten no hits! LOL
  5. Oh my! on a similar note over the weekend at a Hess in Glen Cove while people were waiting online for gas, two huge escalades pull up into the station cut the lines and four huge guys get out and start pumping gas while threatening people brandishing weapons. 911 was called but by the time police arrived the suvs were gone. I dont know about the rest of you but my life is worth a hell of a lot more than 5 gal of gas. And not to hijack my own thread, but if Obama is reelected then there will be less guys like the one with the legal firearm to defend themselves in both scenarios. So think carefully before you all pull the lever today! - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I don't think it has to do with cash flow as much as it has to do with gas flow especially during trying times that we have all been going through. I'm not suggesting the government impose the mandatory generators but rather the gas companies should require it as part of joining their franchise. This is nothing like the government imposing mandatory BO for hunters. - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. SZ firearms is only 12 days away!!!!!

  8. It is truly a shame that we have to wait 2 hours on line to get gas for our cars one week after a storm. What I don't understand is why isn't it mandatory for gas stations to have back up generators so if the power goes out they can still pump gas. Certainly for what they are charging us they can afford it. I'm glad I don't have to drive anywhere far this week. Hopefully by the time I need to refill my tank all this hysteria will be gone!
  9. Our great mayor turns away the Guard from Brooklyn because they were armed. Seriously?? He's an idiot!!! http://m.newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2012/11/03/thursday-report-bloomberg-wouldnt-let-guard-brooklyn-over-their-possessi
  10. The Hess in Oyster Bay on Lexington and 106 has a great set up still pumping for cars and containers. I got another five gallons in only 20 mins waiting with my container. I'm good for now. They have enough to last until about 5 pm tonite. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I GOT GAS!! Ok it was only 5 gal container but gave me up to 3/4 tank in my jeep. Wahoo!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Heard on news that NJ is doing that. And there are Armed Nat Guard troops guarding stations in Hicksville, Syosset and Westbury. Some really scary $hit just to get gas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I usually do but this was a full service station which was supposed to be open and pumping at 6am. They were getting deliveries the past two days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Well after nearly two hrs waiting the sta opens and there is no gas. They could have at least roped it off and put up a sign. Then i drive 1/4 mile further north and the Hess is pumping but the line was even longer. I'm done! Going back to riding my bike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I sitting now for 45 mins and I just spoke to a guy who was walking up and said the sta is not open , no sign no one there. He was supposed to be open at 6 today and he was getting constant deliveries yesterday. Idk what to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Its funny that as a hunter I have the patience to sit all day but not to wait in a long line for gas. It is really frustrating.
  17. Thats the reason he canceled it. It is supposed to bring the city together but it was tearing it apart so to save face he canceled it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. He finally did something right for a change. Now if we can get him to relax the gun laws.
  19. I heard about that. What would something like that run to buy and install? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. No unfortunately he was spotted further North. There were five all together. Four were put down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Just got power in Oyster Bay about 30 mins ago. No internet or cable though. But have movies to watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. With power being out now in my neighborhood for four days, and no generator, all the meat would have been spoiled.
  23. Still no power in Oyster Bay. 100+ year old trees toppled like dominoes. Wires down all over the place but roads are finally cleared along 25A and 107/106. Got power today in Mineola but dangerous driving there. Gas stations either running out of gas or long long lines. Thank God filled up both cars on Monday. Be safe all! 24. No power in Oyster Bay since Monday evening. Schools all closed until next Monday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Power's been out since 8:30 in Oyster Bay. Also no cell service since 9:00. Close to 900k people on LI affected according to LIPA. Cell service up now. No estimate for power restoration yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
