As far as I know , the site owner is the only person who can okay new members . I believe WNYBuckhunter was trying to have burmjohn let him okay new members but that never happened . Burmjohn has been busy on facebook showing off his pristine lawn .

Since grouse was brought up , I have to laugh . Several years ago I was bow hunting at my son's property in Italy Valley . We would go to our stands before light and wait for the sun to come up and legal time . A couple mornings I heard a noise like someone trying to start up a tractor down at the bottom of the hill . I sat in the stand thinking , 2 days and he can't get the darned tractor started ...... what the heck . Then I was informed that it was the noise that a Grouse makes . I still have to laugh at myself on this one . -
A couple weeks ago I was able to get non-ethanol gas at Fastrac for $3.999 . I was surprised yesterday to see that the only gas Fastrac sells now is Regular gas . No premium or other choice . Any of the other nearby stations sell the non-ethanol gas for $4.699 . What a rip off !

Several , who left , still come back to see what is going on with the hopes that this site has failed . Just keep posting . There have been a lot of GUESTS poking around . If only the site owner cared enough to come around , we might be able to have some of these guests become members .

My youngest son lives in Canandaigua but he is only about 4 miles from the village of Honeoye . They have had bear come up out of the woods / creek and hit their bird feeders . I wouldn't want them near my house .

Sunday night I had a small raccoon in the back yard under the bird feeders . Took a bit to scare it off . Tonight I went out to water some of the garden . There was a small fox under the feeders . I wonder what's next !

Hearing Protection When Hunting

I got a pair of Walker Game Ears several years ago . Only used them once and didn't care for wearing them . I only use a sound deafening headset when at the range . As for regular hearing , I have a set of hearing aids that I got about 3 months ago . A bit afraid to wear them bow hunting as I would probably lose one or both . The nice thing about them is I can listen and talk through them without picking up my phone . -
