Anybody else have any problems with keeping bucks on there property. we have always had young 6's a lot of spikes and a lot of really ugly deer. last year we did get a very young eight point though but only in two pictures. any pointers?
this bear was taken last year in the southern zone. it is one of four bears taken on our 75 acres. those for bears were the four out of the 5 bears taken in our county in 2 years. for some reason they like our land. it borderds 200 acres of state land.
I had just came out from lunch around one o'clock, been settled in for about an hour and in the corner of my eye i see a black furball. it dissapeared for a few minuets then reapperead. 20 yrds away perfect broadside shot my parker inferno and 3 blade spitfire broadheads did the job and passed through both lungs and sliced the heart. she didnt run more than 10 yrds.
i was scared out of my mind so i waited in my stand for TWO HOURS just to make sure the deal was sealed. sure enought it was.
P.S: this was posted now because i just joined the site. looking forward to having another one in just a couple of weeks.
Bears in my area stick to the brush. Depending on the size of the bear is if they will travel to more open area. a smarter bear will stay in close brish where only about 10 yrd shot is possible a young nieve bear will travel anywhere a deer does, my bear was taken at my buck stand wi=hcich is in close brush surrounded by berries
3 blades are not illegal. a three blade broad head is only illegal if when opened does not retract of if is is barbed. same for two blades it they don't retract or are barbed they are illegal and if fixed broad heads are barbed they are illegal
i have hunted with scopes, front and rear iron sights, and just a bead. for me the two easiest are the scope and the front bead. if your gonna use iron sights its just quicker and easier to use a bead
@pawle76 i hunt right on the scoharie and greene county border, we have perfect property right next to state land so that gives us a lot of options, we cant seem to get any quality bucks on our property do you have the same probkem?
i used to have and still do have the same problem and thats the conclusion that ive come to about it, you can try changing the level of your camera, is it facing level or down at some corn or something?
I could use a little fresh pow on the ground for hunting this year, dont do too much stalking on our property but for tracking purposes, and im new to this site can anybody tell me how to start a new topic?
