  1. As I am new to the forum I thought I would share some picture I have got over the past year. Lots of coyotes, will make for some fun winter hunting. This picture just caught tow of them at a cool moment. This coyote just looked big, the second picture is to give you something to compare the coyote to. The dog is a small bodied lab that weighs 63 lbs. She needs a diet and some more duck hunting. Here are a few pups living near the camera. This is a buck with a weird looking right antler. Wondering what it ending up looking like this year, maybe I will see him again. Has three lobes if you look closely...
  2. I have pictures of a deer or two with these on them? Any clue as to what they are?
  3. Why do you hate foxes so much? I enjoy watching them, it is the coyotes I want dead. Nice picture by the way!

    217lb Brute

Does not appear to be a hoax to me dinsdale. I don't know what is making you think photoshopped? They are plump right now, and this is the second one of this caliper I have heard of being taken. Nice deer! Congrats!

    Dead doe hanging

Haha. That doe was a true New York lady. I had a friend shoot one once that the DEC aged at 7 1/2 years I believe.
  6. Nice pictures, I would be concerned with the range in those conditions though. That buck was posing up close, but it is not always easy to get them in so close. Even if its low light/night range is not very far, it can still be a great help to scouting efforts.
  7. I would say 3 1/2. He is one nice bodied and racked deer. Good luck chasing him down!
  8. That is a nice looking young buck. Looks like you are hunting a beautiful area as well. An amazing background.
  9. As elmo said. It is legal and a red light is best as it does not spook the yotes as easily.
  10. I would say 2 1/2 on the buck, and 3 1/2 on the doe. Guessing by size comparison and spread/mass of the antlers.

Yea, unfortunately college and work makes archery out of the question, but I will be home for a little over a week of rifle season. Last year I managed to fill my DMP and buck tag during that time. I do not have a DMP this year, but hope to get a buck. I will try to hold out for a 3.5 year old this year though, last year I gave into temptation on a nice 2.5 year old.
  12. Get after him! I would try to get in closer to that bedding area. Be quiet and have as little impact going in and out as possible. The young bucks seem to love coming in to calls also, but I always space my calls out by 15-45 minutes. Too much calling will make him weary. If you don't get him this year, he will be a beautiful buck next year! He appears to be a 1.5 year old with fantastic genetics. Loving those brow tines...
  13. We have quite a few in 7M. Here is a trail cam picture taken over the summer. I have shot a few in recent years, but only target them a few times a year. Definitely take a toll on the fawns, the older deer never seem too worried about them. I am sure once the snow gets deep that they get a few older deer too though.

Hey everyone! I am new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. Currently I am a student in VA majoring in environmental biology and criminal justice. My home state and hunting ground is NY however. Mostly deer hunt, do some turkey and coyote hunting also. Spend a lot of time fishing too. Look forward to participating in the discussions here! -KEVA
