  1. Got out for a short sit tonight. Wrong place wrong time for this guy. I grazed him 2nd to last day of bow (using my dads xbow it was so cold) and my mother in law got a pic of him the following morning. It came full circle. Happy Thanksgiving to all. And congratulations to all enjoying the hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. They can do some damage if there isn’t much else around or even if there is. I hear there’s even differences in how wary whitetails are in the East vs West part of the country and the ones in the East are more prone to look in trees for us. Not sure if that’s true since I’ve never hunted out West. If you ever want to go back to CO to hunt elk and want company look me up [emoji4] Been a dream of mine for decades now. 3. Was it as delicious as it looks? After I read that I thought about trying it myself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No my buddy and I told him we’d get the antlers for him but he was so torn that it went to waste he said he didn’t want them. He’s more a meat hunter than bone hunter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Man y’all a bunch of killers in here. Congrats to you all. Some bruisers on the ground today. Missed my chance at a nice 8pt this morning. Back at it for the evening with my ole man. Hoping he pops his cherry with the xbow I got him a few years back. He did get one 2 years ago at Letchworth right before dark but wasn’t sure of the shot so we backed out and found it in the morning ravaged by coyotes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’m out in 8M in creek stand and sun is down over horizon to begin cooling things off. Just saw my first doe as I was typing this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Only seeing lone fawns or small “doe” all morning. Possible bucks split mom from kids or mom pushed them all away for some lovin already? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Awesome start! What did you catch them on and how deep? If you ever need someone to fish with for 20 mins again give me a shout [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Congrats! Nice buck! Same exact shot I made on the doe I took 2 weeks ago. Drop right there and die quickly. My favorite Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Bought my Summit Viper 19 years ago and just replaced the cables on it this year. I love that thing but I hate lugging it around. Even though it’s light walking a mile or more with it strapped to your back sucks. Have tried a few other brands that friends have but none compare. Never tried a LW though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Excellent question. She had put birdseed in the bath but still qualifies I would think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. She got some good video of him too but I don’t know how to upload it. He couldn’t have cared less being out in the open or being that close to the house Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My mil’s front yard at 6:30pm tonight.
  14. Congrats @Hock3y24 well done! I’ve been hunting for 28 years now and still haven’t killed a 10 point. Missed a few as I became unraveled though. My white whale

I’ll be out there this weekend and then again from Nov 8-17. We get a cabin every year for almost a decade now. The hunting was much better before they removed the antler restrictions 3 years or so ago. My mil has a few awesome acres packed with deer in Livonia about 20 minutes away so if park is slow or I am lazy I head out there too.
  16. Over the years I’ve always liked 10/31-11/6 the best for buck opportunities. Not to say I haven’t seen as many bucks the following week because I have but they are more likely to be running does or other bucks off presenting less opportunities for the bow. But I would take Fletch’s advice and take both weeks.
  17. I bet we all think that until the first one smells the way the boys like and sets it off
  18. That blows. I’m sure you’ll get another chance. Redemption will be much sweeter
  19. Congrats on the buck! 4 doe and 2 bucks moving around 8. I rattled the 6pt up to 30 yards but he was looking right at my tree then turned back.
