My bear weighed 300 lbs. After the fat was removed and all the meat boned out, I got 75 pounds of meat to take home. If you were to get half of the meat from a 400 lb bear, I'd say you should get about 50 lbs of meat.

Many of the radicalized Muslims have lots. Osama Bin Laden for example. The man was very wealthy. Many of the jihadists being captured or killed today have very good lives. It seems more a call to Islam's religious demands and hero worship than a result of poverty.

Yeah, his wife works for a publisher. They probably have an office in Seattle as well as NYC. He bases his home on where she needs to live. But both NYC and Seattle are not good places for gun owners.

I always wondered how they decide exactly when sunrise is. It's plenty light out at 6:45 AM when the table says the sunrise is 7:00 AM. I guess they calculate when it comes over a mountain top.

Always figured Steve would escape from Brooklyn, NY when he could. I thought he went to Alaska, but it says he's in Seattle. I'll be expecting him to escape from there soon as well. For all of the non-lead bullet advocates, Steve has never expressed any apprehension about regular bullets being used to harvest the meat he feeds his family. He's a fantastic ambassador for the hunting lifestyle. I wish him well.

Was out hunting coyote yesterday and had a bobcat come in. It was within 50 yards but I thought a 7mm-08 bullet weighing 140 grains would just blow it apart, so it got to walk away and live another day. I was pleased with myself anyway, because it never knew I was there.
