You have a problem with that, take it up with the DEC and tell them to word it differently. While you're at it, have them exempt farm tractors as well, see how far that'll get you. It was actually a lot of work. 4 in one day. I do it to help a friend, use the meat myself, and give out the remaining to those who want it. I made offers here to whoever wants it too. I guess no one took me seriously.

Same could be said about folks that toss the ribs and other undesirable parts back to nature. I don't see anyone busting their chops for it. I don't view the deer the same this farmer does, but if it needs to be done it needs to be done. I just happen to be the one he asked.

That's correct. Safety regulations will apply, but advantage regulations does not such as after dark and with the aid of a light. Shooting and having a loaded firearm from a motorized vehicle is still illegal and definitely unsafe.

The hunters safety course is for..... Safety. Not for pleasing the anti's. please get that straight. And in the course, a headshot was perfectly acceptable and is considered a lethal kill zone.

Well said YFK. Some people do it, some are open minded to others doing it but wouldn't do it themselves, and then there's those that are very close minded. All walks of life around these woods. Too bad there's so many closed minded folks here.

Don't know about the cops, but you can definitely get carcass tags from DEC.
