Notice the way he asked his question. He didn't ask, would you feed your child meat shot with lead, he asked if you would feed meat with LEAD IN IT. See the mentality he has? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Now you're being an idiot mike. Accusations such as yours is no where near the truth, as much as you want it to be in your little head of yours. You're so far up the dove hunting fantasy you so desperately want that you are not seeing the big picture. Ask a survey and see how many people currently use lead to hunt. Ask another survey on how many hunt predators as a means of control. Then ask how many hunters were originally not opposed to dove hunting, but after listening to your crap day in and day out, is currently opposed. I can tell you that you have at least one. Thanks! [emoji112] And I'll go as far as helping you out here. I am a hunter. I hunt. Maybe what you mean to say, but your feeble brain couldn't handle it, was "conservationist". Like many have been saying, imposing a ban on lead will surely put hunting, and conservation to a halt in a hurry. With so many that's opposed to dove hunting, particularly the neutral crowd that view them as song birds and peaceful birds, your one sided agenda to legalize it directly angers many of these neutral folks in becoming anti-hunters, jeopardizing conservation, yet again. So Mike, ask yourself this, who's really the conservationist? And that's the "deal". X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

But has nothing to do with hunting. Is there Falcons involved? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Would love to attend one of these, but the 6hr drive would make it tough. I've attended a few DEC biologist events held within a 2 he drive, but 6 might be too much for me at this point. Those that live closer should definitely take advantage of this opportunity. Nothing but good stuff to say about the guys at DEC. You and mike basically started this thread, and all by your lonesome until some got lured into the "debate". I don't think you were simply "responding", more like instigating. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I get these quite frequent. Also have some buddy passes too. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Save the birds, sacrifice the sport. You wonder why so many are coming out and diminishing your point, and it's because your point is against the very material most hunters use to hunt. That in itself is an assault on conservation. No one is arguing that ingesting lead on purpose, or by accident is a good idea. What you're probably missing is that responsible hunters remove as much of this stuff from our diet as we can, and that's an ACCEPTABLE risk these hunters are willing to take, so why are you still harping on the subject? But that's part of the problem with this proposal. By doing these costs estimates of "kill shot and sight ins", you're basically obscuring the real costs to sportsmen and sportswomen. Statements like these also hint at not practicing at the range and being proficient with your implement. What do you think will happen to gun shops, ranges, clubs, etc when lead ammo is restricted or banned? It's sort of like looking through a peephole, not seeing the whole picture. How did it go back down on its own? Did he need surgery? Dialysis? Was Magneto called in to remove the metal like he did with Wolverine?! It can't be what Rattler was saying, that the body takes care of itself, can it? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Need help with wader selection!!!!!
shawnhu replied to zeus1gdsm's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Felt is banned in a lot of waters around my area. But I would also second wildcats suggestions on going breathable and layering up inside for colder weather. Go with stocking for ease of changing boots. If you're not fishing the beaches with sand, stockings are fine. Breathable are generally more expensive, and don't last as long. But if you get them from a place like LL Bean, they are covered for life. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
NY compliant AR's & AK's

NY compliant AR's & AK's

So they rather just stay illegal, right? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
NY compliant AR's & AK's
shawnhu replied to ants's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
It's not. Recent decisions have restricted even the newer stocks non-compliant, rendering them illegal in NYS. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
Just got it in the mail today, so I'm brand spanking new. But... Here's some data being crunched already. Take note of the barrel time on the Results window as 0.925 ms. This is the time it takes for the bullet to leave the barrel. Then take note of the 4th node calculated by Chris Long for my 20" barrel. This recipe also happens to shoot under 1/2 MOA for me at the range at 100 yards. I hope to cut my "required" range time and component usage by quite a bit with the aid of this software and the concepts of OBT. Edit: Here's an example of how QL may save me some components and range time, as well as barrel life. The fifth node calls for 1.0257 barrel time for my 20" barrel. QL predicts this barrel time to be at 40.3gr of IMR4350. Time to load up some rounds! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
