  1. Old enough to drive, old enough to do time. Operation of a 2 ton weapon has great responsibilities. They probably wish their parents would have taught them that when they sit in jail with rapists and murderers. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  2. I got a feeling the next one that's going to be taken from your dad's new property will taste much better [emoji106] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  3. Flounder season isn't until another 10 days! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  4. Another one driven away by mike. [emoji27] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  5. There's a few more than that. They might not have wanted to include you, that's all. Seeing that you're not even from the area and have agendas. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  6. The ECO was on the job, and was injured. I'm not sure how he'll end up with the medical bills and lost wages from work. I agree with the rest though. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  7. Not many LEO I respect more than an ECO. Always a pleasure to meet and greet one. Hopefully these kids gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No excuses to assault an ECO like that. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

    FMJ Ammo

FMJ, the new cheap alternative to non-toxic ammo. [emoji106] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

    30-06 Loads

    15", wow! [emoji1] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

    30-06 Loads

I've heard of guys doing this, as a low pressure load is harder to have a complete burn. Changing the primer usually tweaks the ES and SD, so I've heard. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  11. H4350 is an extreme powder, and should be as stable as it gets, provided all other factors are taken out, such as the reloader's technique. If you're deep into an accuracy node, your group size should not be affected too much, but POI would surely not be where you'd expect it to be if there's a 100fps difference and target is 400 yards. Typically, shooters that shoot at those distances would create a table for temperature compensation and just reference it to adjust. 30-06 Loads

I have no experience with loading mag primers in non-mag cartridges, but I would think that the difference is not significant at min charges. Work up from absolute min, not in the middle and certainly not at max. That's my take on it anyway. Are you not able to get regular LR primers? 13. I've been told that the fps change from sub freezing to near 100* F doesn't shift much. This is from someone that shoots competition at 1500 yards with 338 LM. I think he said under 30 fps difference. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  14. My factory rifle was quite a bit of a disappointment in the accuracy department when I first shot it with factory ammo. After a long journey of reading, buying, learning, then rinse and repeat, it's finally coming together. I've been able to get this same bullet to do similar groups on three separate occasions, even under different recipes. Feels good when it comes together, but frustrating when it doesn't. That's reloading! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

    QuickLOAD

Yesterday was range day, and we put some lead down range. In my last range session, I found a decent load that would produce ~1/2 MOA and I would now use this as my control group for the rifle. Here's the control group, 3 rounds to start and 2 at the end of the range session. Shot a few ladders, but this one was interesting. Will have to explore this some more in the future. Another note of interest, I forgot to properly seat my control group, and ended up shooting them loaded @ the lands. They were supposed to be .01" off the lands. Whoops. Turned out ok though. I am having some trouble with QL though, my range data is not matching with QL, total bummer. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  16. I'm an opportunistic dove hunter. If I come across them, they may end up as dinner. Can't mention where I take them, else I won't be invited back anymore! [emoji1] Mike's cool, as long as he's not posting in the wrong threads, or pushing for doves, or making silly comments about lead, or trying to troll others, or when he puts others down, or drives other members away, or... Hmm come to think of it... Maybe he's not so cool after all. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  17. Zipping along in that barrel then [emoji1] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  18. Just thought it was his gig, but seems like you're doing equally, if not more than he is. He barely even checks back to the threads he started. As for doves, I shoot them. They're like pigeons, only cleaner looking. Just not all that thrilled about how Mike goes about his agenda. I try to not get too passionate about one thing in particular, makes you a bit obsessed and tunnel visioned. Turns you away from all the other joys in life, like fishing with lead split shots and shooting Coyotes. [emoji6] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  19. So this is more of Larry's initiative? I always thought it wasn't..... X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  20. Yeh, no need to get all worked up on poor ol' Larry. We need to focus our anger at the OP. I say we ban his ability to create new threads! [emoji106] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  21. My 20" is pushing the 85gr at 3180 FPS and that's probably way over max pressure. I'd assume a 22" shooting the same would be in the 3300 range, with the same over max pressure. So it only Makes sense that it's a 24" at max pressure. But I guess you could be crazy like me and load them hot! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  22. 85gr Game Kings. What length barrel? 24? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  23. I actually never shot them, due to their expense. BUT, I'm a sucker for a deal, so I have 50 on order. I didn't want to admit it, but it seemed fit to answer the question. Now the anti-lead folks are going to call me a hypocrite. [emoji27] The other 1000 pills are of lead nature though, fun times ahead. If I decide to work up a load for them, I'll let you know how they do. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  24. Picked up a few items, and about 1000 pills. Take a whirl, you might find something you like that's on sale. PM me for a tip to reduce shipping costs. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  25. Larry, in case you are running low on stock. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/594032/barnes-tipped-triple-shock-x-bullets-243-caliber-6mm-243-diameter-80-grain-spitzer-boat-tail-lead-free-box-of-50 X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
