  1. http://ads.midwayusa.com/product/423081/lee-challenger-breech-lock-single-stage-press-anniversary-kit?cm_mmc=pf_ci_google-_-Reloading+-+Metallic+Reloading+Presses-_-Lee-_-423081&gclid=CjwKEAiAluG1BRDrvsqCtYWk81gSJACZ2BCeXMulpUM5D6soOqcF-atp-NqQrnkRTiik16bqQtVpchoCYL_w_wcBSorry, I meant to include a link in my previous post. 2. For rifle cartridges, this is what I got, after much consideration. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  3. Simple version of it is put a primer in the case, pour some powder in, and throw on a bullet. Not so simple version is, measure everything, and then measure it again. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  4. Upside is cost savings, flexibility in ammo combinations, better marksmanship, gratification in shooting something you put together. Downside is, you'll be at the range a lot more often. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  5. Wow, you're close to Buffalo, over 5hrs one way. Don't like the alpha? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  6. Speaking about spring piston type airguns, I wouldn't using a .22 for coyotes, better off using a 1.77 with a heavier pellet. Unfortunately, the only humane shot you have with such is a headshot, anything else would be a slow death for the animal. The OP would do well with any of the high quality .30 cal PCP made out there today. Unfortunately, the price of a decent .25 cal to a decent .30 cal jumps considerably, as Crosman doesn't produce a cheap .30 cal. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  7. That's great and all, but that's not what the OP was asking. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  8. 87gr's is a bit heavy for coyote in a 243 IMO. Shooting a lighter, higher velocity round would be a better choice I think. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  9. Time to feast! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  10. Which pellet did you go with? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  11. Either the one on the right, or the spray bottle you have is ok as a solution to clean the barrel. After you feel you're done cleaning, run a patch with the oil on the left to coat the barrel to prevent oxidation followed by a dry patch to remove excess oil. 12. You folks sure love your seafood! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  13. Today's temps was mid 30's with light 0-5mph winds. Due to low winds and increased temps, barrel was hearing up fast and I wasn't able to get off more than the 13 plus 3 fouling shots off before I had to leave. Largest group was .996, smallest .428 Charges from left to right are 40.8gr, 41.2gr, 41.6gr, 42.0gr. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  14. Do you recognize any of these bottles? Which do you wet patches with and let it soak in the barrel? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  15. When you say spray, you are referring to the solvent, or Hoppe's oil? I have the bottle version and I dip my patches. You should see greenish blue if you're getting copper out. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  16. Although Hoppe's will clean copper, it's more of a carbon solvent than it is for copper. If you've shot over 500 rounds and only took 8 patches to clean, you either have a really good barrel, or didn't clean it enough. Try soaking a patch with solvent and leave it there for 10-15 mins, and then run a dry patch and see what the color is. Hoppe's a very mild solvent and take its time to do its work. 17. Keep in mind the legal limits for Airguns are still 500' from a dwelling. Ask for permission if you are within 500'. IMO, a decent .25 cal PCP would be sufficient for coyotes. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  18. Not everyone gets buck fever, but I guess when you're desperate, you might. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  19. Hey, I get it. Not everyone can afford to live in the best city in the world. I don't mind the envy. It's actually very flattering. I do get plenty of practice out to and past 200 yards though, probably more than you've been to a big city. You should come out of that dump you call a home sometime, it'll open your narrow mind to a whole different world, called civilization. 20. Important or not, it's in the wrong thread. What happens when the boy cried wolf too many times? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  21. So, we no longer need a guns and rifle forum, put everything into political? That'll be what you want, wouldn't it? So crap all over YOUR political corner, stop spreading your crap all over the place. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  22. What kind of solvent? Color on the patches? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  23. PBR is on a 9" target out to 300 yards isn't necessary IMO. I'd rather aim small, and miss small. On a rifle or shooter that shoots 3MOA, you're looking at a 9" spread at 300 yards. There isn't any PBR that could possibly help in these scenarios, unless you're shooting a laser beam. PBR only works for those who strive for accuracy, and needs to react at a closer range where they don't have the luxury of adjusting turrets or referencing a hold-over chart. When you're after animals greater than 200 yards, and sometimes 100 yards, PBR isn't really necessary. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  24. Have you tried cleaning the barrel on your gun to see if that might help? How's the action screws and scope mount screws looking on yours? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
  25. Bull barrels are thicker, which is what I said earlier. Thicker is generally stiffer and will resist the barrel harmonics better than a thin barrel. Longer barrels are desired for a complete burn of the powder, which will give maximum efficiency in terms of muzzle velocity. This length is generally 24", depending on the cartridge. This is mainly internal ballistics. Hand-guns vs rifles are a totally different animal in terms of long range accuracy, not because of the barrel length and harmonics, but because of stability, design of the bullets and lack of range. This is mainly external ballistics. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems
