Yes, but what's the score? [emoji23] X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

NYC has a whopping 66 assembly districts! Thoughts?

You give me too much credit thinking I actually read your articles. In a discussion about doves, you reference shrimp and sardines, and expect people to read the one-sided propaganda links you post? No thanks. Here's where you went astray. I'm not against dove hunting in NY, I'm against your tactics in trying to belittle others when they don't agree with you and your statistics taken out of context. So how many chipmunks in NYS and hunters that pursue them? Huntable population? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
You must have missed Stan's post on the Texan earlier. Here's a few links for your educational pleasure. http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/AirForce_Texan_Big_Bore_Air_Rifle/3575 Sorry if none of these manufacturers can't get their act together and spoon feed you the data you're looking for Doc, you'll just have to find it or use a calculator like how the old timers did it back then, knowing just a few variables and maybe going out with a chrony and doing it yourself. Hope that's not too much to ask. But personally, I find it a joy to tune my own Airguns to exactly how fast I want them to shoot and balance my shot counts the way I want to. I use ballistic calculators and plot my trajectory on my own and verify that they are correct at the range. I suppose it's easier to let manufacturers do all that for you and you just load the cartridge into the chamber and pull a trigger though. Nothing wrong with that either. What exactly are your choices to be made Doc? Which model airgun were you looking to purchase? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

You seem very passionate about sardines and shrimp. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were more of a fisherman than a hunter. Anyone on here specifically go out for sardines and shrimp? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

I still think there are more chipmunks than doves, deer, coyote, turkey, fox, etc., combined. How many actively gets dressed in the morning and say, I'm going chipmunk hunting today!?X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -
On a federal and state level, yes you can. But check with your county and town and specific property to make sure they allow the discharge of rimfire. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Need to keep on my budget this year Stan, if not I could really use an upgrade on my 8 year old bow. Someone should really pick this up. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Awesome video Stan, thanks for sharing. .45 400gr, wow! X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

You know, I really couldn't tell ya. I don't own a .45 PCP. And it's not like one can go on some cartridge manufacturing website and see the listed fps, energy, and bc specs for it, because it doesn't exist. If you're lucky, you'll get some bc data. In a way, it's like asking rage how fast their broadheads leave the bow, and will it fully penetrate the game I'm after, without knowing my bow setup. http://www.mrhollowpoint.com Took me a few seconds to find this. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Like I said, if you've never owned or shot a high performance PCP, you really have no business even comparing it to any powder burning firearm. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Airgun hunting in NYS is but all of 3 or so years, but you'll be surprised at how many dedicated airgunners are in NY. You may have extensive experience in powder burning firearms, but to claim superior knowledge over another group of gunners is ignorant. And TBH, I wouldn't have expected a statement like that from you. Noise factor aside, do you really feel comparing an air rifle is fair to a handgun? How many chipmunks are in NYS, how many would pursue chipmunks? Maybe 500? Is there a huntable population of chipmunks in NYS? Enough to come home with a meal? X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems -

Either way, unless you've shot Airguns with or without hollow points, energy, bc, terminal performance really is a moot point. It's like explaining to an anti the benefits of hunting or the outdoors, and this is the kind of attitude I see exhibited here, supposed hunters, against fellow hunters. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I think he was agreeing with you. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Not for someone that has already made up their mind about Airguns and just pretending to be interested, no. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

You seriously need to look at aspects outside of energy. As stated already, energy is nothing if not properly transferred. Wasted energy is as good as not having any to begin with. This really isn't a class for terminal ballistics, that's a discussion for another night. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

I'm not sure if Doc understands how energy works with the associated terminal projectile. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

The recommended speed is 650fps+ for big bore. X-Calibur Lighting Systems http://facebook.com/XCaliburLightingSystems

Stan, generally, people that are against something will be against it based on perceived principle, and they'll likely always be against it, regardless of how convincing the facts are. Many have exhibited very selfish behavior on this very thread about how the introduction of this implement may be taking away "their" season. Instead of that type of mentality, a true conservationist should be thinking, this new implement may introduce more people to the sport and give hunters a larger voice.
