  1. Yes you can get extra batteries for most of the android phones. The iPhones do not have the ability to change the battery. I get the batteries off ebay for as cheap as $10. The extended battery was about $25 but that included the larger batter, a new case, and a new battery cover (because its larger). It pretty much doubled my battery life to a whopping 24 hours.
  2. Same here, and I have the extended battery! Its that damn big screen that kills the battery, at least thats what 50% of the consumption is.
  3. The phones are great, and I have excellent service with my Verizon android phone. The #1 Biggest problem a regular phone user will have is batter life. I don't care what smart phone you have, the battery life SUCKS. You have to charge at least 1x per day to a solid full charge. If you use the phone a lot (Web, email, etc) depending on the phone you can get anywhere from 6 hrs to 24 hrs of battery life. I remember when I had a "dumb phone", I used to be able to go a week with out charging it up.
  4. Hi Jim, Welcome to the forums.
  5. Great info guys! One Q, how do you know an area is "to wet"?
  6. Welcome to the site! Where are you located?
  7. Congrats, what a nice deer! Thanks for sharing.
  8. Click "Update Location" here: http://huntingny.com/forums/membermap Sorry only one location at least for now. You can enter a zip code or a city and state, also if you have "friends" you can see them on the map as well.
  9. It would be generic not an address but a zip code. Not GPS coords of your monster bucks hehe. .
  10. I can do something like that... optional of course, by zipcode or something.
  11. Nice! I hope this weekend has some good action! Except Sat looks like a little rain pushing through.
  12. Thanks, I screwed up on the focus, I guess I caught a branch and the deer is slightly out of focus.. Oh well.
  13. Its only what I ordered the first time around. I'll order some medium and smalls the next order. I didn't exactly announce it yet The sweatshirts were a one time deal for those sizes only (its all they had), but hopefully I'll get some other sweatshirts in all sizes shortly.
  14. I have not herd anything... You would think that would have spread like a wild fire if it was for real no?
  15. NY DEC: We have now posted our Assessment of Public Comment on the draft NYS Deer Management Plan, 2012-2016 at www.dec.ny.gov/animals/7211.html. We reviewed all of the input received on our draft deer management plan, and we appreciate the time and effort that so many took to express their personal and organizational views in writing. We prepared this Assessment of Public Comment as a brief overview of what seemed to be the principal issues identified with the draft plan, and we offer our response to those issues. Attached is the Assessment of the public comments in PDF form. This post has been promoted to an article deerplanapc.pdf

  17. I always wondered about using the can to early in the season, but I guess it works whenever.
  18. I'd also love to hear from some people with experience in apple planting, as I'd love to do the same. It would be great to have my own little area with at least 10 tree's going. I have a 4 month old daughter, figure if I do it this year by the time she is 5 or 6 there would be some apples producing depending upon the age of the tree I buy. It would be great for the wildlife as well as fun for the family.
  19. From what I was reading apple tree's need a good amount of sunslight, so be prepared to clear out some surrounding tree's to let the light in on where you want to plant. Also its a long process depending upon the age / size of the tree's you plan to buy. That is also going to determine the cost of the tree's. 20. Did you go back out today? I'm heading up this weekend again, can't wait! Its going to be cold, maybe get them moving during the day into the woods.
