  1. The last two are of the corn that got way to late of a start, but some other stuff growing in there. The first one filled in amazing.
  2. Some pics, ignore the date if its wrong, one cam is off by a year plus
  3. Thanks everyone. Antlers - That Dancing Cat place is neat, food is a bit expensive, but its a fun place to go if you like live music. There is also a Vodka distillery right next door, its their place also. That buck is pretty nice... I think it was the one from last year that was out of range during bow, and he also had a scope on him during muzzle and the cap didnt ignite the powder.
  4. I did this week with the new bushnell I have, I had to lighten up the pics in the photo editor. I will end up moving mine next time to adjust for those conditions, and I do have pines near by which is what I beleive is causing it.
  5. Happy bday

thank you. i didnt see this until now

  6. Yeah but with zero shoulder, and no where to get out, it was really the only option to get off there. There was a guard rail to the right with a drop off and 2 feet to the left cars wizzing by.
  7. Just a point I'd like to bring up after shooting a few at 50 today. Looking at a small box target through my small peep site at 50 yards is like looking at a fly on the way 20 feet away. When you have a scope with the cross bow it HAS to be a clear advantage, especially when precision comes into play. Yes sure, a compound can shoot 50,60,70 yards but who can shoot a compound through a peep at 70 yards right on the mark when you cant even see the white marks on the target at that distance. Just saying my thoughts
  8. Oh, and here is the other good news... the new trail cam where I put the new stand captured this new guy!
  9. Well the good news is I was able to head up to our property on Saturday with my baby and wife in tow after the wife had a party in the peekskill area on Saturday. I was able to check the cams, met up with Joe (fairgame) and shot our bows, locked in tight now at 20,30,and 40 yards. Had a great lunch with the wifey and daughter on the way back home at he Dancing Cat Saloon in Bethel... Then on the NY thruway, my water pump decides to take a crap.... Mind you its only a 6 year old car with 60k miles... (Trailblazer) Thank god, only 70 miles from home, AAA covered my tow except for tolls to my mechanic buddy near my house... And the in-laws picked us up. Still, unfun, but I was home in time for the JETS game and that gave me another heart attack. BTW where I was on 87, holy crap, no shoulder, cars going by at 90. I was freaking out b/c I had the baby in the car, luckily the tow guy said stay put, lets get you off the highway. And thanks to Dom's towing, wow great nice people...
  10. LOL! poor bubba... Im surprised they have internet pipes up there! Kidding
  11. Oh come on,how many of you have sprayed some aerosol version / spray bottle of deer piss in the wind and NOT tasted it a bit? I can't be thje only one.
  12. Well it looks like the first Rubs of the season are starting to show up. With the many pics of the bucks shedding their velvet in the trail camera section : http://huntingny.com...amera-pictures/ - I suspect we will start to see a few more members posting pictures of rubs found around their property like our member here did : http://huntingny.com...aly-a-buck-rub/ Keep on the lookout! These are all signs that the season is just around the corner!
  13. It happens, probably more often then we think.
  14. Everyone has different intentions. And those are into food plots know that hunting over them is not the slam dunk you think it is. Besides the fact that food plots benefit everything wild regardless of the intention of the plot.
  15. You herd it Eddie, no excuses this year, we expect a big one down for the 70th B-day.
  16. With the pics showing up of the hard horn I'm was kinda surprised no one else posted some rubs.
  17. Thats a great point Eddie.... I always wondered about that at those butchering places. Processing 10, 20, 30 or more deer a day, who the heck is going to know! Besides the fact you save yourself 60-100 bux, and more then likely get yourself a lot more meat because you take the time to do it right. I personally have never butchered a deer myself, mainly for the reason I just didnt have the place to do it, now that I actually have a place to stay when I hunt other then a tent / camper I can butcher and pack up my meat myself. Luckily I have someone around the block that is going to show me how this year
  18. One of WNY's requirements of it being free is that upon acceptance you MUST wear a backtag when using the harness. Hehe I hope bubba knows we are kidding.
  19. Just an FYI - I received a letter in the mail today from Fred Thiele, the original sponsor of the bill... In short, he has since "stricken the enacting clause" which means its dead. I'll scan the letter when I get a chance. It was actually a really nice letter explaining everything.
