  1. I have a winch on the ATV (with a little keychain remote), and use that to raise it up to the tree. But next weekend I'll have my brother with me to help me out also.
  2. Picked up two of these metal ladder stands off ebay, one for 89 + shipping and one for 94 + shipping... Not to bad, and I wanted some more stands on the property for friends and family... I already have the Red Tick one from the same guys and like the stand, http://bigdogtreestands.com/products-page/stands/bdl-451-17-big-bud/ I never liked the 1 man ones, these give a lot more room to move around and stand, plus they just feel a bit safer. 3. Videos are really neat, debating if I should do that with my new one. I wish there was a way to do a photo then shoot video.
  4. Cabin, last year mine came like 3 weeks after everyone else.
  5. I googled it, its called a trophy rock
  6. The shelves cost me about 115 bucks for the wood and I used deck screws. I got a big box of deck screws because I needed them for my stand build in two weeks Those deck screws are expensive.
  7. Its 8x10, but sure feels bigger. 1900 installed. When I factored in the costs to build one, I would have came to about the same price give or take. But this was delivered and installed plus the baby was just born, so no free time to build one, so I couldnt resist.
  8. Anyone get a DMP for 3H? I now have two preference points
  9. Yeah I went overkill on the shelves using 3/4 and 2x4's but nothing I hate more then sagging shelves, these should last a lifetime. And I also waterproofed the inside of the doors and floor.
  10. Well I was planning on building one, but after pricing it out and seeing this deal I got this one. It was from one of those Amish shed guys, built in pieces in PA then assembled on site. Overall I love the shed, its solid and I added all the shelving (I needed storage bad). I plan on running some electric out there shortly. I'd like to have an outlet in there along with a light on the shed. They assembled it in about 1.5 hours, which was pretty amazing to watch. I was just upset the installers were not Amish.
  11. I think he lives out east. Probably has one of those Big backyards I'm heading upstate next weekend, def bringing the bow and will shoot if I have time after hanging some new treestands.
  12. I gotta help the in-laws tonight, so not sure if I can go
  13. I might to tomorrow night to shoot a bit at C&B archery in hicksville if the baby is cooperative... Dieing to fling some arrows.
  14. Welcome there! 3M has lots of deer, don't know off hand of the public places but I am sure there are plenty on the NY DECs site to check out too.
  15. Now that you have a PP you have a higher chance of getting that first pick next year. When it says PP required that means if you have 0 PP's you have 0 chance. If you have a PP and its still "high / medium" you have a better chance then those who do not, at least thats how I understand it.
  16. Plus you have to factor in if your a land owner with more then 50 acres with basically guarantee's you a tag.
