I got a cannon safe from I think it was either BJs or Costco. Its pretty big, but go as big as you can afford you will understand why. And look for one that provides an outlet inside I wired mine with a switch, lights and the dehumidifier thing. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I used to pay extra for the outdoor and sportsman channel but since the price jumped a year or so ago I dropped it. I do like grant woods, he has a pretty good free web based show I watch. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

You should also consider archery. Forgot to mention that in my other post, then you have the island as well as areas in westchester and the rest of NY.

Really you should take a course first, actually I saw a few on groupon, intro to guns that run courses out on the island. Teach you the basics, safe handling, and shooting. After that, check out the classifieds here and then on a few other sites. Honestly if you never handled a gun before go with a friend and or take a course. A hunting class wont teach you the proper way to clean, handle and use a gun. Here: https://www.groupon.com/deals/renaissance-firearms-instruction-2 Its rifle related, but everything still applies. Once you do that, then look into getting your hunting class. Spend a lot of time at the range, learn the ins and outs of your gun and how it works.

Was contacted via email that HBO is looking to rent a cabin for a day or so to do a shoot for one of their newer shows. They are looking for something closer to NYC, with in 60 ish miles or so. So if any of you have a "rustic" Hunter cabin and wish to make a few bucks let me know, I'll forward the contact info on to you via PM. They want to see pictures of the inside and out as well. Thanks!

I love reading these "busted" stories they always amaze me. And that is the same rack for sure, at least I think so. Listen if you are innocent why the hell would you go and delete all your crap.

You are going to get a crap ton of pictures of regular birds. -
Off topic, but anyone ever replace a seat cushion in their car/truck? I have almost 100k on my trailblazer, she is still kicking along fine, but man I sat in the passengers seat the other day and its its like night and day compared to the worn out drivers side. Found a OEM replacement cushion for $100 shipped on ebay and pulled the trigger. I was googling around and found some crap instructions on how to do it, however I never removed upholstery before, it mentioned hog rings and hog ring pliers, so I ordered a cheap kit for 12 bux as well. I'm guessing these go through the seat cover onto something metal to secure it. Now getting them off I guess I can just use regular pliers? I'm guessing I'll just pull the whole drivers seat out of the truck and work from there. Hopefully it wont be to difficult.

So last year I took the plunge and bought a Weber grill, my original post was here: http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/16102-going-to-get-a-new-bbq-might-just-bite-the-bullet-and-get-a-weber Spent a good chunk of change on it, I think it was 699? Anyways, the grill was great, use it at least 3x per week year round. So I went to go do my normal spring cleaning and I noticed the back of the unit had paint coming off. I was ahh man, spent this cash now this crap, I was seriously disappointed. I also bought a Weber cover for the grill and after exactly one year it had cracks in it. Anyways, long story short, called up Weber, they asked for the serial number explained the situation. I also said I wasn't that happy with the grill grates because of some rusting, but I mentioned that in passing because most of the time with a good re-oil and scrape the rust comes off the with the cast iron stuff. They said send photos into this email, and then no more then an hour later I get a call from their customer service that all new parts have been ordered and are on the way. So a new cook bottom, bottom rail, new grates and a new cover. I was really blown away, didn't have to get all crazy or anything. They also apologized at least 3 times about the paint problem, she said it was a defect with a bad batch of paint or powder coating (whatever is on there). That experience just made me a Weber customer for life.

I'm leaning towards that based on the pictures I have seen.

Still not 100% sure what it is, next time I'll break off a piece.
