  1. I really would have to research it. But I do know that leaving the can in the woods is littering. I personally have never dealt with it. I would guess not but am not sure as long as the consumer is 21, and his bac stays below the legal limit. But it for sure is stupid. If I recall, a couple years ago there wasa thread about this and it was surprising the number of people who admitted to taking a nip on the stand to "keep warm" I am sure it is not illegal. If ti were it would say so in the guide. All there are are strong recommendations not to.
  2. now it is pills. When I hunted state land I used to find beer cans around the areas I hunted. So not only are they hung over, some drink while hunting. I am glad I do not have to deal with that any more.
  3. none here in 6c as usual. I turned down deer during ml season looking for the one who keeps showing up on my cam. I am going to throw the damn thing in the trash. .
  4. understood and good luck
  5. yes it is considered antlerless if they are less than 3 inches. I personally think it should not be allowed, but that is just me. Makes no sense to put antler restrictions in place and be allowed to shoot them before they get a chance to mature.
  6. yes I certainly not saying anything wrong with it, but not for me is all. Never know who is there or where they are
  7. well when the does are being chased and running away, they are not getting bred. The bucks are ready, but the does are no where ready yet. The actual rut is about 36-48 hours. The bucks will hang with the does then until they are receptive and are bred. Any activity now is bucks looking for does who will be willing to breed when the time comes. I am sure I will get hammered for this, but it is the way it is. When the does are ready to be bred, you see much less activity and they go into the woods with the bucks and lay low. The best hunting time is pre rut when the bucks are chasing. like now. Also the moon calendar I have says this weekend will be a lot of activity.
  8. and people can order all this crap online and have it sent to their door, and no one knows. Out of sight out of mind.
  9. he is looking ot make a lot of money on this. It is business through and through.
  10. thank you. I try my best to foster he sport. I have a friend who come sup from cicero. He has a camp on black lake. I fish there in the summer with him. Anyway he has had bilateral knee replacement and does not get around like he used to. This year his daughter and he came up. I have one ground blind that is easy to get to. He sat in that and did get a deer, but he was so happy to be able to get out. His daughter has been hunting for probably 15 years. She missed a decent deer during muzzleoading. But, she was happy to have a chance. During youth weekend, I had a young man and his mom come over. They took my class this summer The mom was trying her best to be a fill in dad. Anyway they hunted the Sunday of youth weekend. She was so appreciative for the hospitality and the opportunity to hunt. We ate well and they had a ball. Both are now hooked. I guess I am rambling, but to me that is what it is all about. The simple truth is I have killed plenty of deer in my life. I get much more enjoyment watching another get a chance.
  11. see here is the thing. I am not in it for the money. I own it I have friends who hunt it with me. My taxes are under 2 grand a year. We have fun, we harvest deer, but mostly it is not about a business thing. It is about a friendship thing. I invite people, especially youth who might not have a good opportunity to hunt otherwise. They bring a parent, and I know where this will go, but usually it is a mom who has no idea about hunting but took a class because her child wanted to. I let them hunt, I teach them and they have fun. I do not need some broker leaser to ruin that for me. 200 a year is more than enough. The smiles on faces and the success we enjoy is enough profit for me. Honestly I did not buy this as an investment. I bought it for friends and family to enjoy. No disrespect, but as a non hunter, I do not think you would understand. Good luck with your investment.
  12. welcome neighbor and good luck this fall.
  13. no need to apologize we all have a bad day.
  14. browning may i ask where on the st lawrence? I am in the area myself. Good luck and happy hunting
  15. We have 450 acres total and 8 hunters plus guests occasionally. It is hard to stay away from each other sometimes. If it were me, I would want an exclusive. Sounds to me like this is hopefully a money maker. I charge 200 a year for all year access. The money goes into a fund for food gas for the generator propane for the lights, fridge and cooking stove. etc. That way the food for the hunting times is all bought and no pot luck.I guess I need to up my prices.
  16. tget a trap go to bed in the morning he is dead.
  17. Thus ends my saga here. Nothing more I can add to this thread. I apologize for telling my story. I do make this promise. I will not start anymore threads, but I will respond to others as I see fit.
  18. you call me kotex and a c__t in a pm and you are upset about dude. get over yourself. You are really looking pretty silly here.
  19. ok dude lighten up francis
  20. the first step to fixing a problem is admitting you are oops i mean have one. Now fix it.
  21. maybe if you owned land and did not have to hunt where you have to get permission or where everyone else does, you would understand. Otherwise your juvenile little comments are pretty based in nothing, as that is what you have. I see another one heading for the idiots list. In other words you are clueless. Oh and by the way, your little threats to do bodily harm to me are not only funny, they are illegal. I would refrain form doing any more ok tough guy.
  22. yes we do usually around 5 or so bacon eggs toast coffee donuts. Then we hunt all day and have a big dinner after hunting. Not only opening morning but every morning we are hunting
  23. oops i misread your post my bad. But you can do anything you want to do to include shooting deer at midnight. See it truly does not matter to me. And by the way I said padlock not cable lock. If you want to keep flaming the fire, you should at least use the correct terminology (that means words)
