  1. Thanks all. It was a great experience. I have a good buddy to thank for taking me under his wing and showing me the ropes and letting me hunt his small wood lot. Nobody in my family hunts and I just started about 3 years ago in my early 30s, and I'm enjoying this sport. The fact that it took me 3 years to get here makes me appreciate it that much more. 2. First ever harvest, no monster but meat for the freezer! Was rutting around in a chopped corn field looking for cobs.. 40 yd shot, he dropped where I shot him. Happy camper here on my way home Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk

  7. On and off rain and windy here but with 3 little ones at home, hunting time limited so I'm out. A group of 5 doe been hanging around, lately. Fingers crossed to pop my cherry this morning Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
  8. Now that I've sold my reloading setup, I have some components left over that I have no use for. I'm located in Sherrill NY, and looking for pickup as Hazmat shipping can be a huge pain. CCI #200 Large rifle primers: 7 unopened brick = 7000 primers : $175 for all IMR 4350: 1 unopened 8lb container and 1 opened 8lb container. Unopened weighs in at 8.358 LBS and opened at 7.156 LBS on my digital kitchen scale. That is a difference of 1.202 LBS that were used out of the opened container. So a total of 14.798 LBS of IMR 4350 powder : $145 for the full unopened powder, and $120 for the opened container. Bullets: Hornady 30CAL 150 GR FMJ-BT. This was a bulk box of 2100 bullets and I've used 400 out of the box, so 1700 remaining $225 Hornady 30 CAL 165 GR BTSP Interlock. 1 unopened box of 100 and 1 opened box with 31 bullets remaining. $15 for the unopened box and $5 for the opened box. Please contact via Email at [email protected] for further discussion. Thanks.
  9. I have up for sale a complete set to get someone into the hobby of reloading. I only loaded for one caliber .30-06. Great starter set for someone just starting out. Here is a list of what is included:1: RCBS vibratory case cleaner (also have a box of walnut tumbling media that will go with this)2: Book: The ABC's of Reloading3: Book: Lyman Reloading Handbook 46th Edition4: Books: Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading both 3rd and 8th editions5: Redding single stage O frame press6: Hornady Powder Measure7: Lyman case trimmer8: Hornady powder trickler9: RCBS case deburr tool10: Case filling funnel11: Case lube pad and case lube12: Primer tray13: Sinclar Stainless ultimate trimmer with .30-06 case holder14: RCBS Reloading Dies for .30-0615: Lee Decapping Die16: 2 plastic storage organizers17: 2 case holding trays18: 1 ammo box, holds 50 rounds19: Hornady powder beam scale. Update (found the tray that goes with the beam scale so that is now complete)All in good useable condition. I'm looking to sell this all as one lot. I've looked up the price of all of this new, and took 50% off new price and did not even figure in cost on some of the smaller items. With that said I'm firm on a price of $350 for everything listed here. Please contact via email only at [email protected] . I'm located in Sherrill, NY Thanks for looking
  10. Out of work.. on my stand.. beautiful day.. my freezer is empty and my gun is full. Come on deer!
  11. 21 snowing, just got settled in my blind. Roads were worse than I exoected once I got close to my spot. Wind in my favor if i can see further than 20 yds once light comes
  12. Now I admit I am a newbie hunter who has only been at this for a few years. One questiion comes to my mind. It seems to me there is a pretty strong belief that bow hunters are safer/more ethical than gun only hunters. Do bow hunters get an unfair pass as being more ethical/safer just because everyone in town doesnt hear when they make those poor decisions? As an example, whos to say bow hunters arent shooting just as much or more before/after legal hours for the simple fact that nobody would know if they didn't witness it.
  13. Only good thing from yesterday, got to try out my Mr Heater little buddy in my blind. That thing worked awsome! Got about 7.5 hours out of a 1lb propane tank.
