Matched up my favorite shed from this year!!!
Geno C replied to WNY Bowhunter's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
Cool rack, has a bit of a palmated look going on. -
Ortho makes a great granular product. I use it every year! Kills hundreds of species of bugs from spiders, ticks grubs and so on. Comes in a shiny redish bag. I even put it around the perimeter of my house. I had ticks when I had my yard cleared, used this stuff and knocked everything out. Good product and lasts awhile.

Thanks Belo, I have a neighbor behind me and he's a lazy tool. His fence blew down with each storm and took him 3 months to even get around to putting it up. I offered my assistance when it first came down for Irene, months later he calls me to help him as I'm on my way up for fun season. I wanted to slap him, I'm like you know I offered months ago right??? Lol... That's Scott's turf builder plus 2 works wonders for me

The crabgrass here gets crazy... Once those heat waves hit the ground cracks and drys, crabgrass starts growing fast. Belive it or not, I never aerate or thach my my lawn. Turf builder plus 2 then a treatment or 2 of halts CG from Scott's.

Man that really sucks, I think we all have been in some tough spots. I feel for you. I'd take the high road also... You know and feel what's right for you and yours. Stay positive and exhaust your options, no one likes to work for free, if things havnt looked up yet chances are they won't with this guy. Move on, things will work out for you. Just remember what comes around goes around!

Haha I'm sure there's people here that love their lawn more then I do. Takes quite a few coronas to keep my lawn up.

I thought male urine from dogs doesnt really burn and females burn it up? Lol maybe a myth. .

Thanks! Out here by me it's a little harder to maintain... Sandy dry ground and when that constant high 80s hits crab grass try's to take over! It's bad. Especially since I have some slopes, water runs off, dries up and them weeds n crab grass gets nutty. Feels like I'm doing more with my lawn then just cutting it and doing a few treatments. Thought it would get easier lol

I figured with all the food plotters, gardeners and tree growers minas well have a lawn thread.

I'll start by saying my lawn looked like this when I bought in 2009.. Work in progress Same year but summer time And these were taken today Lawn grown and maintained by me 100%... Love yard work lol

VERY cool I agreed with you from your first post so stop being like me tree (crabby) lol I do fig cutting and plantings every year and one thing I have noticed since day one was that I have had cuttings produce fruit as soon as the first summer, during the second hit. With trees that produce fruit first and second year I have noticed that when I pulled the fruit off when it started YES the tree focused more on growth absolutely. I also noticed when that same tree produced fruit the second season none of the fruit was close to ready for eating. I have noted when I left the fruit to grow on some of the cuttings and let them die out at the end of the season then pick them off, I noticed that same tree made fruit the following year that was ready to eat. Almost like the tree put energy in both places. I thought that since the tree made edible bearing fruit the next year it kind of learned to put he energy into the fruit versus the tree that I picked early, it was like the tree was still learning how to put the energy to the fruit so the first 2 years for production was a bust. Just things that I picked up on with my figs which are a fruit tree also. The tree won't die if the apples remain on the branch intact what I am going to do is leave them on let it grow and I will give a follow up on it and see how it is doing. I would expect it to make fruit and continue to grow strong as planned. If things don't work out, I'm one tree down maybe. It's a learning curve for me so I would like to see what happens if I do the opposite of what a few say I should do. This way I know, it's not the end of the world for me, it's one tree. I would like to see what happens... But thanks for the advise, I already knew about picking the fruit off but since I never had a crab apple I just wanted to see if that was indeed fruit in which case I was almost 100% sure it was.

It is cool... Very cool actually. Like stated the tree was not some 2-3 foot it was a 6-7 foot tree. Mature enough to bear fruit in my eyes. If you want to get technical phade...
-
i never said i wanted them... i said it was cool that the tree was even making fruit the first year. i said you made a good point. i will prob take them off.
-
pull them off your saying? it was a 6 footer, id assume its a few years old already... this thing is growing like crazy, it came in as one long branch and now its leafing out and making branches everywhere. but thats a good point tho. i figured it was fruit but im like really? first year after planting the thing lol

its a DJI Phantom i think. looks like this
-
he visually watches the craft while its flying... they sell glasses you wear while in flight that visually shows you whats ahead like you were driving it and looking through the windshield. he wants to get that setup also this way he can fly it and not have to keep the drone in eye shot. there is a GPS button you can hit that will signal the drone to fly back to the remote on it right now that is a neat little feature.
-
Can someone verify if this is fruit I am seeing... This was one of my brandnew trees I ordered, it had no growth when I got it this was all from the last few weeks. But it looks like its starting to produce fruit. I could be seeing things.
