o ok, yeah mine was an origonal. First time applying and got it in 2 months.

A spike was said to be a deer with horrible genetics and was to weeded out of the herd due to a land owner / hunter not wanting that spike to breed a doe and pass those genes on to the next season. im not so sure i beleive this. i do beleive it is lacking a certain gene that makes it stand out but it is not uncommon to see a spike grow into a decent deer the follwoing year or even blow into a a nice buck by the 3rd or 4th year. It will grow and especially if there is addiquit food and nutrition. i pass on the spikes. you also have to think when that spike was born, it can be a very recent birth thus having a small rack then the follwing year that paticular deer will be a 1 year old or just slight of that. i havnt read to much but iwonder if it can be a good thing to see a very young deer be a spike already and not a button buck. It might have pretty decent genes after all. There 2 sides of that coin and there are plenty of oppinons on this topic im sure, each having a different outlook...

yeah its funny how that works... i truly beleive they just cant put 2 and 2 together... They can not determine that the scent they are smells is from a human. Its quite funny. But your right, there is something more to this as to why a deer rarly spooks when its comes across human urine. I do think they can tell that it is NOT from a deer. i just dont think they relate the smell as a threat or warning. Thus, feeling comfortanble enough to investigate and walk on by without flinching...

Hi guys, my name is Geno, i am 29 years old and coming up on 30 lol.I have been in the woods since i was about 5 thanks to my dad and quickly became aware of propper gun safety and handling since at a young age. I have been bow hunting since i was 14 and small game at 12. Shot my first buck at 16 which was my 14 pnt, begginners luck. I have since passed on some really nice deer which at the end of the season i always question myself for. But it feels good to know i gave some nice bucks that were 2 1/2 or 3 yearolds another year to blow into something nice. I am a big time hunter with the gun and bow. I am most passionate about bow hunting... You can see my biggest buck to date in my sig, i am the type of hunter who likes to practice QDM... I enjoy sharing the timber with my freinds and family and theres really not much i like more then to hang off the side of a tree at 25ft and really take in the site, sounds and smells nature truly has to offer. I got engaged about a year ago and i am fortunate enough to have a pretty understanding fiance when it comes to my hobbies, we just recelty bought a house as well... Lol I am working on making a hunter out of this one to share the woods on a level i am unformilure with... anyways i hope to speak with some of you and share some tips and adventures! Geno

I usually walk as much as i can without my light on. I use a small LED head light. They come in very handy. Hands free is the way to go

i have reception usually in every stand. i do not use walkies so i rely on my cell. i do take pics of passing deer and also text in my stand. Guilty...

This topic is one thing i NEVER did get... i always hear guys say they smoke and see deer which is probobly true. i mean luckily i dont smoke but i take scent control to such a maximum that i hate to even share timber with guys who smoke in the woods. scent control during hunting season is my biggest petpive! its a daily grind for me with scent control, i take every step to eleimnate as much human oder, that i would never want to ruin my hunt. no offense to the smokers in here! lol im sure it works for you.

Ill start off, i am a huge car guy... I have a 94 Twin turbo supra that i built. it now has a BIG single turbo, full fuel system, AEM EMS and the list goes on. It makes 800rwhp and is my baby. LOL i made 500rwhp at 14 psi on pump gas which is nothing boost wise, this turbo is a 74mm GT42R and does is a very high boost turbo. however with a more agressive tune and running 18 pounds it will lay down 600 on pump. here are some pics from a few weeks ago

I got my pistol license in 2 months maybe 2 1/2.... i could not believe it! when i went for my interview she said it could take 4-6 months but count on atleast 6. almost 2 months to the day, i got it 2 weeks ago...

ive never seen a deer consider a fern as food... but ive seen them eat stranger things b4...

i wish i had the time to do so... it is a great idea to compare weather conditions and even wind directions from the prior year and correspond that to stand locations and such. how many deer you saw, which way the wind was blowing, high pressure/low pressure morning / afternoon. i think its a great idea. i just wish i had the time to devote to that.

i usulally go right out of the stand. ive heard of people bottling theres however ive seen deer during me pee hours after i pee or even minutes after... heck ive seen deer as i was peeing lol. I beleive deer can smell it i just dont think deer can directly relate the urine with that of a human. ive had deer walking past where i just went, they stopped to investigate and walked by care free. i pee from the stand!

I am super excited! i was doing some scouting and walked a big circle really and when i came back to our food plot not 45 minutes later there were 4 nice bucks in it... 2 were in the high 130s and the other 2 were in the 120 area. It got me amped up fast! lol

I butcher my own deer... however the thought of aging deer in an un controlled environment is kind of scary. for your own health and others...
