I absolutely love my bps cold weather system. I have the bibs and jacket. I had been scraping by with walmart outers and lots and lots of layers but I was still to damn cold in December. With the bps cws I can just wear 2 base layers and be done. I also use a muff now for my hands. Just need to get a slightly warmer insulated gloves for the cold temperatures. I am guilty of bringing to much. I have a smaller stand backpack and then a ground pack that is bigger with a waist belt because it carries my hammock chair and wall blind. I also have a gallon sized ziplock with survival and first aid items in it. Packed to cover a night in the woods and a gunshot wound. I have one of these as well as a harvest/gut kit in each bag. Then comes rangefinder if bowhunter. Small knife. And assorted head/hand layers. As a former boy scout. The "be prepared" motto really stuck WI th me. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

I bought this. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/331956217470. As well as the waist belt. I just used the straps on the shoulder and waist belt to attach them. Then used heavy duty zip ties to further lock them on. So I do not have the frame. All told about 30$ on eBay for shoulder and waist strap. With my heavy Titan the waist belt is a must. Also have the third hand archery stabilizer straps. A summit bow holder. And summit front storage bag.... I throw my outer layer and my small backpack in the center of the climber for transport. Leaving work this ending at 11pm I saw a dead doe on the side of the road that wasn't there when I came in at 3pm.... Looks exactly like the doe that jumped out in front of me the other night omw home. I was tempted to throw this thing on the top of the jeep. So what is the standard operating procedure on road kills? Ate the edible? Just the main roast cuts etc. Who should I contact Dec or local police? Is it even safe? I kept driving but a part of me wanted to Google the Dec for the area and try calling them. I understand that depending on how the deer was hit that all the meat could be spoiled. But I figure chances are only the front or back half is ruined? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

Well I took a break and came back and went to my "gun" stand. Sat for a bit and decided it is too exposed and just not alot of shooting options. So I bushwhacked my way along near some deer runs looking to see where they ended up. found a perfect tree for the stand that won't require any additional trail. Nice maple. Overlooking a trail headed out to a field. No other stands near it. And another overlooking a scrub area with a fairly heavy trail through it. The tree is at the edge of my buddy's yard. Perfect for the climber............ Other than that I definitely succeeded in throwing my scent all over in the southeast end of the land. Sitting in my plot stand for the evening and then giving it a rest for a week or two. Glad it's only week 2 of the season. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk -

Nothing tonite.... Looks like wind will be good for a stand sit tomorrow morning before work........ Quick blind and bow question...... How many windows do you'll have open. Mine is on a big intersection. I'm a right handed shooter so I have my 12,11,10and 9 oclock windows open and low enough to shoot through. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk -

That's what I figured. But I didn't know for sure if the rain would keep the scent down...... Hence the blind choice. But I'm still learning as it's only my 3rd season. Appreciate the info. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk -

Heading out In 2 hrs to sit my blind till dark. With a west wind it will blow my scent off to the neighbors land....... Will this rain keep my scent down enough I could Chace my stand in the middle of the property? Deer would come from the east downwind in that location Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk -

Love my summit Titan. Heavy as heck. Especially with add-ons. But I'm a big guy and with my extra gear I wanted to be comfortable with the weight limit on the stand Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
