man i'm done. You're killing me. today's youth? Is weed new? Quest for another joint? You are so mixed up in your thinking and worse than I thought that I can't continue man, I just can't. This isn't crack or H. It's weed. I have no idea what the market is today, but $20 was enough to roll several joints. You certainly aren't out selling your body for joints lol. If you really want to discuss this you're going to need more than anecdotal thoughts and feelings. I've posted links to several studies and stats to back up my position. It's your turn. -

your snack sticks look pretty watery, I had that happen on one pan as well. Is that normal? What's your cooking process/average times? -

it's funny. I read the reviews and some complain it cooks too slow, and others too fast. I'm sure it has a lot to do with how many trays, rotation and also how much you cram in there. Truthfully speed isn't a concern for me. The final product is. I'm willing to wait if I need to. how much is the excaliber? -
Need help with Sausage and Jerky
Five Seasons replied to Five Seasons's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
yeah my concern is not being able to stuff it and pack it tight without it being snug to a fitting. I might see if it'll fit on the grinder without the stuffer attachment. I have 2 150+lb. deer to work with, but that stuff goes fast in my house so I'm leery of wasting anything. I think next year I'm going to freeze some cut up, but unground meat as well. Then unfreeze and mix in the sausage spice on the second grind. Might be better then grinding it and trying to make sausage later. idk. -

i guess my only concern is undercooking. Is there a good method to knowing when it's done? like a steak on a grill? -

You're taking the word ignorant as an insult (which is pretty liberal of you) haha. The fact is, being ignorant on the subject isn't a negative unless you want it to be. For example, I've never reloaded ammo and I'm very ignorant on the subject. If someone said, "Belo you're ignorant about reloading" I would not be offended because it's true. Point is, your thinking on marijuana is very dated and lacking any modern insight or research. It's very obvious that you're lacking in knowledge on the subject and your opinions are formed on personal beliefs and not modern science. You sort of doubled down with thinking that anyone who smokes weed is aggressive lol. It's the exact opposite my friend. No 2 stoned people ever get into a bar fight. ever. -
Over the summer I bought more stuff to help prepare wild game, I already have a grinder with a sausage stuffer attachment and I bought the LEM stainless jerky gun. I had this Hi mountain sausage making kit that I honestly think I got at Gander's going out of business sale. Anyhow, this past weekend I was going to finally take a stab at sausage. Baby steps of course. Small batches and pre-packaged deals until I got the hang of it and get more creative/exploratory. 1st problem. This summer sausage kit came with 2.5" casings. Holy cow, the largest tube I have is 3/4" and a quick search didn't find any of the basic stuffers come with anything that big, and honestly I'm not sure I want to buy a dedicated stuffer just yet. Should I just scrap the casings? I believe they're the fibrous non-edible kind. Follow-up, do you guys buy your casings online or local? Again not looking to get crazy out of the gates. 2nd question. I defrosted 6 pounds of ground (80/20) and wanted to try 3 pounds of jerky and 3 pounds of snack sticks. This time with the packets that came with my jerky gun. I screwed up my jerky recipe and added the recommended water for sliced meat instead of ground, but I'm not sure the extra water hurt it terribly (12 ounces instead of 2 lol). Anyhow all went according to plan and I tried 2 methods for the jerky. One is the oven method and the other is my parents old Ronco food dehydrator from the early 90's. The dehydrator mentions something like 48 hours and when I checked this morning to rotate they seemed done, but I'm going to let it go till this afternoon. The over method (75min one side 200* oven door cracked open, 75 min on other side door closed). They came out good, a little salty but edible and my kids already chowed down a bunch. Question here is this. They're crispy. Not chewy at all. Is this normal for ground jerky and the difference between sliced and ground jerky? I'm used to chewy jerky. Results are still out on the dehydrator method. Didn't use casing for the snack sticks, but they seemed to come out ok as well, but it's funny that 2 different style baking sheets resulted in different levels of "cooked" sticks. Everything is in the fridge now per recommendations. It's a lot but not sure it's enough to bother freezing. idk...

This is again where you're wrong. America had a choice back in the early 1900's. It decided it would pick a vice and for a brief period there would be no vice at all, but after the dust settled it gave in to the much stronger and taxable vice that is alcohol. It's not any more complicated than that and if you think it is, you're even more ignorant than I thought you were. 90% of the laws and regulations in this country that exist outside of the constitution are about money. Alcohol generates more money than marijuana and it was deemed acceptable. Marijuana is an organic and all natural solution to many pharmaceuticals and an alternative to alcohol and therefore has been smeared by lobbyists with negative and incorrect information for decades. And of course, yes when abused it's not good for you. You can draw very similar parallels to leaded gasoline research and global warming if you were willing to open your mind to it. -

this is actually a pretty good discussion point. I believe California did, or is working on doing just that for those that were only caught with possession and not additional crimes related to selling etc.. Personally I struggle with the idea. On one hand we have overcrowded prisons full of violent offenders. Billy got caught for the 3rd time with an eighth be+cause that was his vice, is he really hurting anyone? And the answer is yes and no. He committed a crime, a crime he knew was illegal and did it anyhow, so why should he get a pass? He also gave money to most likely helped fund a larger organization that is doing things far worse than selling weed. And then again, he picked a flower bud that was growing in the ground, put it in a pipe and lit it on fire and breathed in the smoke. There's no processing of weed like there are other drugs. It's a flower that you pick and if it's legal now, why continue to punish that person? I go back and forth. -

so what if it is? This isn't a new tax, lord knows we've had enough of those. This is a tax on something that is completely voluntary. Don't want to tax, don't buy it. Some states have allowed residents to grow a small number of plants as long as they don't sell and stay under a certain amount. This years "how does your garden grow" thread could be fun haha. oh man this was a good laugh. People have been smoking weed for a long time my friend. I bet 80% of the members on this board have at least tried it, and I'll take a shot in the dark and say at least 40% used it with some regularity in their past or present. You might find this totally laughable, but I think you'd be surprised how many people smoke pot or at least did with some frequency in their past. Heck, I think you'd be surprised how many enjoy the fine china. Personally I'll never put anything in my body that could immediately kill me, or I could easily overdose on, but that's besides the point. -
the unfortanate thing, is people are assholes and the parks are already overrunning with trash. Not all employees will receive back pay, and as a tax payer you shouldn't be happy about them getting backpay when they weren't working. It's like free vacation. I work with the EPA a lot, they get a bad wrap for some things and rightfully so, but without the EPA you wouldn't be able to eat a fish or an animal that you harvested, so lets slow down a little. the TSA? lol, how are they oppressing you? I found it funny that she quoted Regan yesterday. Regan was never advocating for shutting and closing our boarders, as she quoted, he and most americans believe we should allow immigration. What Pelosi and other dems fail to realize, is that the issue many republicans have is that we aren't controlling the boarders. I'm all for a system to allow immigrants in. I believe the goal is 3% of of our population annually. Our concern is that they're undocumented and illegally entering. Why that is so complicated for the dems is still confusing to me.

it's funny that a sportsman would post this. Google national parks. other programs that effect jobs outside of the government include space exploration, all the defense contractors, museums and things like your tax refund can be delayed (which i'm sure will get your attention real quick). http://time.com/5492953/government-shutdown-effects/

so if you're against it for the reason you mentioned, should we also bring prohibition back? Genuinely curious. you conveniently left out the part that testing positive for THC doesn't mean you were impaired as it can be in your system for 30 days.
