anyhow its been an entertaining friday boys. I'm off to be with my family. Maybe watch a movie, drink some wine and shag the wife. I have a busy weekend coaching basketball and enjoying my family some more. Go Bills! Will probably get to the farm and do some work and tree cutting if time allows. I'll be on the road the next 3 weeks for work. Next week is Ontario, Quebec City and then Montreal, that should be fun, and I'll say Hi to Justin for you all. Then Atlanta back to back. 100% agree that his time in power was a great time for this country. But the dude also went off the rails when he lost. Does he have every right to be upset at how the media treated him? 100%. Just because it may not be enforced doesn't make it legal. Why one would knowingly break the law is a head scratcher to me. Imagine shooting a book buck or wanting to take some hero shots only to risk getting blown in. Big deer make others jealous and any deer shot with that "bow" in NY would fall under "taking game with an illegal implement" or "poaching" even if it doesn't fall into the same category as shooting a deer out of season, at night or with a gun during archery. Poaching is poaching. Not saying you're doing this OP, just seems silly to spend that kind of money on an implement that can't be used in NY when there are many other legal options.

I ended up hunting last Sunday night out of boredom and having nursed away most of my hangover/tiredness from NYE I decided to watch some football on the phone in the ground blind. It's a super easy hunt and why not. Nothing till 5:05 with 10 minutes of legal light left and a nice shooter doe showed up in my clover plot at around 60-70 yards. It was drizzling and even with a nice shot I just didn't have it in me. I didn't absolutely need the meat even though I wanted it and I didn't want to risk ending the season on a low note. All in all a good season for my wall and freezer. Already spent a good 6 hours before Christmas and yesterday in the woods prepping for next year. In my experience Jan-March is the best time to scout and prep. And at this point I enjoy it far more than sitting in a stand.

don't forget that doe will blow their asses off at bucks as well. I witness a bunch during the chase phase of archery. When you're downwind and nowhere near them and you hear blowing, it's almost a great sign that a buck is on a doe. She's basically saying to him that she either A. Isn't ready or B. Doesn't want him lol. Then there's that foot stomping blowing when you're upwind. That. That sucks.

yeah that's what i was hoping for. Just to be around other like minded people is worth it. YouTube is a hell of a teacher as well. There is some good education out there. In particular I like the coon creek guy, but also having local area knowledge is good with regards to baits and such.
