So yesterday I get to my stand before sun rise. Sit there till about 8:30 and I hear an Atv it's my neighbors. I hear him coming down the hill real slow. Finally after about 5 minutes I see him behind me about 80 yards. He's putting up posted signs. I had a few issues with this number one is that he had all summer to redo his signs. Number 2 he's driving his Atv down my property. And lastly he didn't even fill out his signs with his name and information. I didn't want to say anything to him because it's my dad and uncles property but still ruined my morning hunt from all the racket

My uncle decide to buy a couple of latter stands a few years ago before shotgun opened up. Well he got down to camp the night befor opening day and said go and put them together. Well we did and when we were all said and done it was pushing 9 pm. He tells go put this one up in the pines and well put the other one up down the hill in the morning. So my brother my buddy and my self being the young 16-18 year old kids decide ok should be easy enough. Well all is going well until we have to secure it to the tree with the ratchet strap. My brother volunteers to do it. He's also the biggest pushing 275 lbs at the time. He gets up to the base of the later and the bottom portion of the latter sinks in or shifts causing the whole stand to shift hard needless to say trying to catch a 275 lbs guy falling from 10 feet was a painful experience

I never win anything either I usually just go for the food and free beer haha

I hunt hardwoods 95% of the time any field I would hunt would be shotgun only

So I'm 24 I've been working for my dad/grandpas company since I was 14 I've been working steadily there since last May. Well the other day I noticed on my buddies time card that he had been give a raise to the same rate that I am at. It was a 2 dollar raise. He's only been working for the company for 3 summers so around a year. I also drive to the job sites and my buddy rides with me so I spend at least an extra 60 dollars a week on gas. I didn't mind it because I was making more then most of the other people in the company. Well now that everyone is on the same level I'm pretty pissed of to say the least that now I'm basically making the least amount in the company. Just wondering the best way to handle this seeing that it is a family business and not just a regular old job.

I've posted before that I have heard a group of yotes on my property many times. With the season coming up I'll be at my camp for bow. If I hear them howling at night should I go try for them or just let it be so it doesn't mess up my deer hunt the following morning?

At night you put there cross hair between the glowing eyes. Went to the western ny outdoors show last April went to the predator hunting seminar and I presenter's favorite line was "shoot him in the face"

It's hardwoods with not a lot if shooting lanes. I've heard them a lot before normally northwest from the back of came but they are a lot further northeast this tonight. Hopefully we get snow kind of early so I can find out where they are cutting across the property and set up. I cannot wait for coyote season. Last year was my first semi serious season and since it ended I've only been looking forward to it

Sitting at camp for the weekend. I've heard coyotes behind my trailer before so tonight I brought my 12 year old cousin to the top of the hill and let out a couple howles they called right back. Sounded like 2 or 3. That was at 10:30 it's 12:10 now and I still hear them yipping and barking back there. Only a month away before they are on the target list
