I have the new chick magnet from primos has two lids that are connected by magnets sounds good turkeys haven't responded to it yet they haven't responded to anything today or yesterday

My buddy who I hunted with yesterday said he's was out for opening day in pa and the birds where gobbling like crazy

The birds are quiet so far. I heard one bird gobble twice drone what sounded not too far off nothing since then he didn't response to any calls after. First bird I heard since I started scouting Sunday.

I will be at camp from Sunday to Sunday unless I get a bird afternoon I will be cut out my gun range -
It's my friends family farm he's been hunting there for a while never seem turkeys before.

My buddy and I set a trail cam up along a well used trail to look for coyotes (it was coyote season at the time) saw a few foxes on it and a bunch of deer but the last few pics were of these guys

I know it's illegal to use a electronic caller to call for turkeys but is it illegal to use it to locate? I have a coyote howler I just suck at it

I'm heading down to my camp for opening day this year I may be going down Sunday to Wednesday. I know that there are turkeys on my property and the state land surrounding areas. I've seen the turkeys roost up in the pines on my property during deer season. The question is for people who use an owl locator call when is the best time to use it? Right after sunset? Or before any help would be appreciated

I've been looking at trail cams for a while now and was wondering does anyone recommend one? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on one but also don't want a piece of crap either?

I heard that stores in PA and OH are not selling ammo to people from ny not sure if that is true though

I'm looking to pick up a new full camo 870 they have two I'm looking at both are super mags one has the 28 barrel the other has the shorter barrel they do not come with any other barrel. Wondering which you guys prefer. I have another shotgun just looking at this one for turkey and probably as my coyote gun

I was out coyote hunting at dusk last week while walking in had a group of 5 or so does about 75 yards away I look at them threw the scope at first to see what they were. I was able to set my bi pod up on my gun set that down take my backpack off grab my binoculars glassed then for another 3-5 minutes then set my caller up and get in my spot. They didn't run off till I turned the caller on.

Has anyone had luck calling in a coyote this year around here? Most of the success pictures I've seen on here are from people running dogs or shooting them off their decks(very jealous of them)

That's part of why I hunt there I sit with my back facing the road and the wind is always in my face

Do you use any sort of decoy when calling or scents?
