  1. Why didn't you shoot the coyotes
  2. Walked up to the state land sat on a ridge line with pines behind me about 20 yards after 45 minutes I think I hear a snort so I look behind me and there's a doe I flick my safety off open my scope cover and stand up by that time she's in the pines. All I had was hind quarter to shoot at didn't shoot. Moved down the ridge line a little ways hoping to see something else moving about

I don't know how the morning went but on the way to camp the state land was a parking lot 20 + cars that I could see. In the afternoon the camp across the street sounded like wwIII my brother shot twice ended up taking a 2.5 year old button buck. It was a 120 shot with his single shot 20 gauge. But there were shots through out the day.

  14. Today was my last day in the stand for bow season. It was my first season bow hunting and I can honestly say I'm addicted and mad I didn't start sooner. I saw more deer in the woods then ever before. I hunted every weekend and was surprised at the amount of deer on my property. I didn't even get to draw back on a deer but now it has me looking forward to next year. I'm looking forward to gun but wish bow lasted longer. Going to use gun season as the beginning if my scouting. This spring I'll be looking for some dry areas on the property for some plots going to try to get two more stands up and another trail cam. Can't wait till next year. Oh also will need to work on dropping some coyotes saw a lot of tracks and a big dog today
