    At some point, I gotta have sense enough to wave the white flag. I wish I didn't buy my muzzleloader license, so I could put my season out of it's misery at the end of gun season. Wayyyyyy too much effort, for so little return. Hunt #60 in the books...

    Took a look at trailcam pics when I got home tonight. From 8 cams 99% of the pics were night time. Decent amount of deer, just moving at night. Only bucks were 3 small ones. Funny that the nicest of the 3 bucks has been in my back yard just about every night (~40 yards from my house)! LOL Looks like some chasing on 12/2. And actually, that was ~50 yards from my yard! LOL

    You and me both Jay! I'm sticking mainly to evening hunts. Sucks bad enough when you go out repeatedly and not see anything, but it's even worse dragging my ass out of a nice warn bed for absolutely nothing. Evening hunts are much more convenient for me and I look forward to them after being cooped up in the house all day working from home. If the trailcams showed any daytime activity it would help, but just nighttime.

    Thanks, but let's be honest... it's stupid! I hunted all last gun season and ML season, before finally seeing my first deer, a doe and fawn, on the very last evening of ML season. I'm not even sure if I would shoot a small buck or a doe if I saw one. I might, but I would probably regret it later. There's really, not enough deer around here to spare any. I'm not getting too frustrated, as I really don't care enough if I get a deer or not. Just putting in stand time and if it happens, it happens.

    That's exactly why I'm hesitant! I've had close calls in the past too. If I go out, I think I'll sit in a hedgerow and watch a winter wheat field.

    Catching up on what’s been going on and punching in for the evening shift. Thankfully the slight breeze direction is ideal for the closest stand from my house!     Something just dawned on me. I sure as hell hope @turkeyfeathers and I are never stranded on a deserted island together!! We would probably starve to death!! Well, unless there are a few turkeys to hunt...

    Not a thing today... damn it. I reactivated and deployed a couple cell cams along the newly cut corn field bordering my property. Hoping if I see some deer moving on cam it'll serve as some much needed motivation. During bow season, I had several pics of the big 10pt I was after in the corner of the field. I would LOVE to get some pics of him now!
