    I was told there was over a 400 % increase in tickets sold.I wish the New York City antis that feel they are morally and intelectually superior would just go to Central Park,drink lattes and feed the squirrels instead of being drama queens and trying to satisfy some Disney like agenda that makes them feel good.

    Fasteddie, one guy made comments that squirrel hunters had to compensate for being sexually inadequate. I think many of them are directing unhappy unfulfilling lives at hunters.Why else would they travel hundreds of miles to a small farming community to stand in the cold and judge people ?

    I watched it,glad your friend answered them back.Some of the comments the anti-hunters make are so hateful and rude on the various websites.Self-rightous haters that think they are superior intellectually and morally.What a joke.

    I didn't understand that guy getting arrested,he said without all these people protecting you (police) somebody is going to shoot you guys.He was charged with harassment.He should of been smarter than that because he gave the news and anti-hunters something to talk about.

    Well my friend and I didn't find any squirrels or win anything but it was fun anyway.I saw people protesting and others supporting the event.I read one guy was arrested for harassing the protesters.I didn't have any problem walking to the firehall and once inside I didn't even know the protesters existed.I want to hunt more now thanks to these wacko anti-hunting zealots.

    I have heard there will be a group of protesters, I imagine there will be more than 4 but I don't really know.I also was told there will be multiple police agencies providing security.I hope both sides behave.I think these people believe the squirrels are released and shot by kids and large groups of armed people,they are clueless.

    I read that the organization "Friends of Animals " will be protesting from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sat. the 16th near the Holley firehouse.I am not looking forward to seeing them.I also heard this event will no longer take place at the firehouse after this year so it looks like the anti-hunters won.

    Paula, I think the woman that started all the trouble is a P.E.T.A supporter and sent the story all over.There are people from outside the U.S. protesting. I say they should get a life and stop trying to dictate what others do.

    Thank you everyone for signing. I only know what I hear at work as I bought a ticket to this event from a coworker.I have heard that some of the organizers have had threatening phone calls at home by those that oppose the event but the event is going on as planned. These anti-hunters are in another fictional world.

    http://www.change.org/petitions/stop-the-petition-to-end-the-squirrel-slam# I posted this under another topic but here is a petition to show support for the squirrel hunting event because a woman from Texas started another petition against the "murder" and "slaughter" of the squirrels. She has thousands of signatures from all over the U.S. These people think anyone especially kids hunting is wrong.

    Everything I have read and heard says there has been a huge surge in ammo and firearm purchases going on for months now.People are stocking up for many reasons and the ammo supplies have dwindled.Good for the economy I would imagine.I am glad I bought that box of .22 LR ammo I almost didn't buy last fall.

    Andre Reed deserves to be in the hall.I watched Jerry Rice say that Andre Reed was the best receiver in the N.F.L during a television interview.This was when both men were playing.Wasn't Andre one of the best yards gained after the catch receiver at the time ?

    Ants,this happened off campus.These students lived in the city of Rochester,however R.I.T. is located in Henrietta- a suburb of Rochester.

    JFB, I got the links from a Rochester news website and Patrick O'Flynn is the Sheriff here in Monroe County.His name is on the side of the letter.I doubt the news station would have posted this as a story without knowing the source but stranger things do happen.

    I received the same e-mail response from Schumer today.The response is a form letter sent to all pro gun constituents it seems."Thank you for contacting me but I will do what I want,please don't be so angry as to vote against me in the future."

    This is from the N.Y. Assembly session this week on the Safe Act.This man is right on the mark differentiating between rural and urban area gun restrictions. For the record,I don't own any "assault weapons" however I am angry at the 7 round max clip limit and the way this bill was rushed to law without more thought involved.

    Just my opinion but I would go with the model 60 due to it having a tube magizine that holds 16 L.R. I believe. The 795 has a 10 round clip.I believe 7 round clips are available.Also read that if shooting at an NRA sanctioned range,10 rounds loaded will be legal.Something to consider.
