It seems as if the virus is doing what viruses have always done, and mutate into a less deadly but more transmissable virus. Hopefully it continues on that path. I will not debate my stance on masking or the shot, I simply won't do neither. People have the freedom to choose and their choice to get it or not or to wear a mask or not isn't my choice to make. I have no issue with anyone who decides to get the shot or wants to wear a mask. My issue is when they tell me that I have to do so. The medical treatments one chooses for themselves isn't my concern and vice versa. I'm not sure about where you're at but where I am if it wasn't for the media and those wearing mask you would never know there was covid. It would look like any other year.

What's different you ask. The MMR shot was an actual FDA APPROVED vaccine that had been out for almost 20 years before it was mandated for schools. The shots they are pushing now are still not the FDA approved Pfizer shots. What other differences do you need? Like I said I don't give a crap what anyone else chooses to do for their medical care but don't think you can tell me I have to do the same.

It wasn't that much fun but it was better than being stuck inside.

The way I see it is those that get the shot are getting it as a defense for themselves. It protects those that get it to not have as serious of an illness so they say anyways. It doesn't stop someone who has the shots from spreading it and it's been documented that those vaxxed have the same viral load as those who aren't. I personally know more people who are vaxxed that have gotten the rona than unvaxxed. Bottom line is we have the right to choose our own medical treatment and what's best for our own health. Like I said it's documented the shot doesn't stop the transmission or even lessen the rate of transmission so those who want protection can get it and those that don't want it won't it's that simple. My health is nobodies but my Dr and my concern and they goes for others, it's not my concern how you take care of yourself. I personally won't get the shot and I haven't worn a mask since day 1 and surely won't start now. And yes I had it last Christmas, I was down and out for 3 days but that was all.

3 good looking guns you have. I have an in-line so all of this sidelock stuff is new to me. I don't even know where to get roundballs around me let alone different thickness patches.

I put a scope down the barrel and surprisingly it looked good. I do have the original sights both front and rear I just took them off when I redid the barrel. Thanks for the compliment.

So I had a buddy gave me an TC Hawken 50 cal that came in a package deal of some other guns he bought. It was rough and had been neglected recently and needed love. I took it apart and have redone the barrel, stripped, sanded and refinished the stock. I will be putting it back together tonight and am eager to shoot it. Unfortunately the only stuff I have to shoot it are pellets and sabots and everything I've seen says it should be loose powder and patched round balls. Does anyone have any input on shooting pellets and sabbots out of it or any experience. I wish I took before pics but didn't. Here is the barrel after bluing it and the stock after stripping sanding and staining.

Not getting into it in this thread but you can do as you see fit for yourself and I'll do as I see fit for myself. People that have been vaxxed are still ending up on vents and worse. I'm done with this topic on this thread sorry to all.

Not sure if the bow is still made but I bought my oldest who is now 20 a PSE Rally when he was 14 and he still uses it and I've even taken it with me as a back up on a couple trips. It has draw weight adjustment from 30lbs to 70lbs and draw length up to 30". The adjustments can all be done on the cam without a press.

Had 3 different bucks I've not had on camera before show up nosing around and pushing a doe fawn around overnight.

Thank you for saying this. I'd rather the money I've spent for license fees be spent to enhance the states wildlife as it should be and not some hoax medical treatment that doesn't even guarantee you won't catch the virus.

And yet they still test positive.

My kids already got their lifetime licenses, guns, and bows all without a chance of some unknown health issues due to a shot that people are still getting covid with so my household will pass.

By the way the buck I shot yesterday smelled and the pics from the cam this morning I'd say the bucks are looking for those does yet to be bred and the fawns coming into estrous.

Decided to take my last half day of vacation today with the snow sticking and more coming. Got to my stand and the neighbors where making all kinds of noise behind me so I decided to move and go to a ground blind I had set up and not sat in yet on the edge of some thick pines and the hardwoods. With about 15 minutes of legal light I hear a stick snap and look and see a deer working through the pines. I put the binoculars up and as soon as I could see it was a buck I reached for the gun and he vanishes. I'm searching hard to find him and figure he's gone when up to my right I hear something and there he is 75 yards away and looking away from me. I got the crosshairs on him took a breath and squeezed the trigger. The deer bolts and now I'm thinking how did I miss there's no f'ing way I missed. I get out of the blind to go look and there's blood then more blood then alot of blood and there he was 30 yes away. The shot took the bottom of his heart and and one lung. I'm glad I stuck it out like everyone has said it can all change in an instant.

Well so far my season has gone to hell in a hand basket real quick starting on opening day. 4 of my target bucks including my main 2 all got killed on opening day on neighboring properties following doe around. I had multiple encounters with each during bow and now kinda kick myself for not taking at the time what I thought would be risky shots. I've seen a bunch of dinks since then so not much to really talk about but did have one I'd like to get a closer look at show up on camera for the first time today.

Maybe it's just me but this pic just looks fake as hell. The one thing that does look big in the pic is the guys bow.

Got called to come in for work last night because some people are just incompetent or plain lazy but that's for somewhere else. On my way home to shower grab my gear and go. Now I have to decide what property and stand I'm going to.
