  1. It's a known fact that this happens. I appreciate your input but I feel as this is part of my own hunting. I have no issues with my psyche, and never said I hate the guy, I do hate what he does.
  2. This is what I was thinking. He's a good guy just trying to make a living. It's not easy to make a living farming here in NY.
  3. I agree 100% but my problem is giving exact locations of the piles as his land is posted and I refuse to break a law to report one. Do you think giving the name of the farmer who sells it to him would help at all.
  4. Not sure of what trouble it could bring me, but in my opinion yeah it is worth it. Problems dont get solved by turning a blind eye sometimes you have to have the balls and backbone to stand up for what's right. Maybe if more people had a set out world wouldn't be the way it is now.
  5. 8 tons equal to 16,000 lbs equal to roughly 320 50# bags.
  6. Sunday saw a button buck chasing a doe. Just at dusk tonight a decent buck in the field with a couple doe but wasn't pushing at all.
  7. On Sunday in the same area as the pic in my post above I saw two of these peckerheads knocking the hell out of a few trees. As cool as it was to see them after listening to them for 10-15 minutes I was ready for them to leave.
  8. Is he really that crazy? He may be a little over the top is all. Personally I say go see what he has to say, dont approach him in a hostile way just stop by and say hello my brother and I just bought the property up the road and wanted to introduce ourselves. Dont even mention the mud or the posted sign. He might be on here next talking about his crazy neighbor
  9. Maybe but doubt it. I'm sure he's probably more of a dandelion wine kinda guy. Not saying anything wrong with a good dandelion wine just not as rough as some white lightnin
  10. Basic fact of the matter is it's against the law, and IMO unethical, and not healthy for the deers digestive track once season is over and you just stop your bait piles. Again main thing it's against the law.
  11. I am reporting it. Its complete bull. I put in time doing some plots building habitat to hold the deer close and it does work until they wonder a few hundred yards to a bait pile. Could I hunt the line yes sure but it doesn't give me any pleasure, and I was taught respect others boundries.
  12. He does at least one. He also own land in one of those big buck states also. Start with a K ends with S. Slimeball dirtbag with a cramp ton of money.
  13. So it turns out that one of the neighboring land owners is definitely putting out corn. He has multiple food plots but I guess he figures he could use a little more attractiveness to his land. Its just tg a little though. An 8 Ton little yep 8 FREAKING TON. I happen to work for the farmers cousin who sells it to him and the man has no reason to lie. Years ago I caught the guys kid out in the woods with a bag of corn but seeing as it was summer and he was just a kid a said he just wanted to get some pics I let it go. But now years later and the kid has grown up to be a pile just like his old man I'm sure they put it in front of their stands then. I've made up my mind that I'm going to make a call about it but not really sure what they will do about it as I haven't seen it on the ground and the property is posted but at least I'm trying to do right.
  14. You should call. There are already a ton of these scumbags and unless people make an attempt to stop them it won't stop. It's like a saying I heard once. "There's a lot of assholes in the world because the rest of the people allow it" If you got proof do something about it.
  15. It's synthetic piss so I'd think as long as it hasn't been baking in the sun or your glove box since last year it's probably fine.
  16. Got in a tree about 15 - 20 minutes before dawn. Not where I wanted to go but woke up late and didn't want to rush and get sweaty going in and I haven't sat in this one since last now season so I figured what the hell. Pulled a drag line in as well. At about 8 I catch movement to my right near the path I walked in. Thought it was a doe st first as it kept looking behind it until it got about 5 yards from my tree and I saw his little nubs. That was it until this afternoon.
  17. Saw 5 different doe tonight all had a fawn or twins with them. New rubs in a few spots and scrapes are still being worked, hopefully any day here in 7P it will break open.
  18. Sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine, im fortunate enough to still have my father but as he gets older I fear more and more that dreaded day. Prayers sent your way.
  19. I will say you can get the same weather and barometric pressures from any weather app, or weather forecast. I guess the videos keep me occupied in the meantime even though I can't stand the whole commercialization of the sport.
  20. Any of you ever used this app. I just downloaded it the other day and haven't been able to compare it with actually hunting but it seems alright.
  21. Another doe telling me what she thinks.
  22. Just saw a decent buck following a doe across a green field along 88 East not far past the Unadilla exit.
  23. He wasn't a six but if he stepped in front of me he was getting it. Never saw him or got another pic of him after this one.
