I just put out a new blind in my spot. I had it outside for a few days & the rain has taken away the "new" scent. Also sprayed it down with bone collector scent away. Asking if I just "screwed" up my hunt with putting it in the woods & according to someone else it will take two weeks for the deer to start coming back by. Is that true? my daughter has a Bowtech/diamond edge & she's 10. Been shooting it for 2 years now in winter kids league. Awesome bow & could potentially be the only bow she needs til she's an adult. Set us back $350 w/out arrows. If in CNY, go see Bob at Wildwood Archery on Fikes Rd in Elbridge.

Muzzy 100 grain MX3. all 4 of us that hunt together use them. killed two with them last year. No problem tracking & they honestly didn't go far before dropping.

Well uneventful hunting weekend. Saw nothing friday afternoon, all day saturday, and yesterday morning. Went out for evening hunt & one came by me at full speed 50 yards away. Don't know what spooked it whether it be the squirrels bomb dropping acorns or the cows on the farm we lease from pulverizing a tree by stepping on it. Been seeing them just don't get the opportunity for a good shot. Saw a new rub. Can't get back out until friday again. . Good luck to those that can go out. tried putting image in this msg but won't work. Any ideas??

update from friday til yesterday cause I haven't updated my iPhone to 7 (& wont).... Took 10 year old daughter to sit with me friday night. That went ok. She got bored & wouldnt stop fidgetting. (buying portable ground blind on thursday to remedy this). Nothing came thru so her fidgetting didn't matter. Went out in the rain/hail saturday morning. Had a nice size doe within 25 yards but no good shot cause she was in the thickets. Saw nothing Saturday afternoon/evening. Yesterday morning, kicked one out of its bed walking to spot. Left about 10 am. Came back at 3:15. Found nice prints 15 yards from spot. Followed them to the run that I have a camera set up & there's one picture on it, but didn't have reader with me so couldn't check to see what came thru. Nothing else came thru while at spot. Went to walk out & got just about to the end of the trail, rounded the corner. There was 2 doe, a buck, Momma and fawn walking across trail. I spooked the two doe. Buck was staring me down. Momma & fawn were stopped wondering what's going on. Next I know they all take off running. Just my luck. Done until Friday when I take my daughter back out with me. Moving to front of the woods since that's twice I've seen deer there.

went out yesterday afternoon for about 3 hours & saw nothing except squarril and birds. Going again tomorrow after work. then hunting all weekend long. Don't care about the rain, I'm not made of sugar! lol
