  1. Check out fieldsupply. They often have really big discounts on stuff. I remember seeing some rain gear sale a while back with lots of brands around 70% off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. They sell it at walmart. Check it out first. Poor durability, it's like a cheap cloth material that reminds me of those $1 reusable bags at grocery store Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I had a few close calls but long story short nothing. It was hard getting a clear shot where they were, you had to get to like 20 yards. My buddy shot a real nice 6x6 330" bull in my spot when I was walking up the mountain with him. It was a heck of an experience. Definitely will be back there in the future Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I just went through the process of shopping for rain gear for my archery elk hunt in the Rockies. Long story short finding quiet rain gear is difficult. Finding quiet rain gear that is breathable and waterproof is near impossible. Either way after testing a ton of brands, I settled on the Badlands Alpha rain jacket and pants. Their Exo rain gear is more lightweight and packable. It's amazingly quiet and saved my butt in the Rockies for 3 days of nonstop rain/snow/hail Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. With that said, I have really liked first lite base layers. NOTHING beats merino base layers. I have plenty of UA base layers and they are warm but they stink real bad and I sweat bad in it. Merino is wayyyy better for warmth, comfort, and odor control. Sitka outer layers are awesome. I think their fanatic line is way over priced for what it is, might as well get some Berber fleece stuff from cabelas. I bought some of the first lite sanctuary stuff this year because I like ASAT pattern stuff and got it on a good sale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I recently went on an archery elk hunt to Idaho and got into the expensive top of the line gear. Honestly I don't see the use of Sitka, Kuiu, or Firstlite for deer hunting here as much as it's useful out west. Here you can dry out your gear and usually aren't stuck in the woods all week at a time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I normally wouldn't, but when it's college hour and it's time to really drink it's goes down faster with a splash
  8. Ohh, and the new Red Stag with cinnamon is really good with Coke. I can't stand fireball either because it's like candy. This stuff is good though because it still tastes like whiskey
  9. When I think of bourbon I think of too much money. My classy nights consist of a bottle of Crown or Jameson. Nothing goes down smoother than crown and Coke or Jameson and ginger ale. Never had any of Glenfiddich* or whatever it's called apart from staring at the price tags at the liquor store. I'm 22.
  10. I have found a lot of solid buying options. The Marlin forums has been a big help. I hope I'll like it as much as I think I will
  11. If anyone has or knows of someone who would like to sell their gun, I've been looking for one but would rather buy a local one and see it in person rather than over an online auction. Email or PM me what you have, please include condition, year (or Serial #), and price. Pictures are a plus too. Thanks. Brett.henderson.21@gmail.com

Yeah it wasn't too far off the road thankfully, walking the shelfs on the lower side.

hahaha yeah, I broke a sweat as I was driving all the deer toward you I went back last weekend and got a nice doe Sunday. I have to pick her up at the processors tomorrow [emoji39]
  14. I thought the super X's were Winchester's rifled slugs.
  15. I pretty much agree. 90% of hunting I do is under 125 yards. But one farm I hunt has lots of fields and its in Onondaga county, so the extra range is nice.I totally agree with you though. That's why I go back and forth which to use. I want to try the partition golds in my shotgun next year if they shoot good. I've only read amazing things about them. Meanwhile, hornady reviews are good mostly but with an alarming amount of bad expansion reviews
