Conservation Funding Under the Microscope
JoeHunter replied to mike rossi's topic in General Hunting
Mike. My main premise that you seem to miss isn't who pays, but rather they anti's are NOT conservationist but PRESERVATIONIST (which means NO use of nature to include trees or wildlife), which is the most damning and dangerous. Joe -
Conservation Funding Under the Microscope

Like I said it's a ruse. As soon as I seen them mention HSUS and Defenders of Wildlife i knew it was simply was an effort to minimize our (hunters) positive impact on conservation. In fact HSUS and defenders and the other PETA tree and animal huggers have NOTHING to do will Conservation! Ther MO is whacked PRESERVATION -
Conservation Funding Under the Microscope
JoeHunter replied to mike rossi's topic in General Hunting
This is a RUSE by the ANTI-hunters to move towards banning hunting, trapping, ect. The whole “NON-Consumable Conservationist” is one of the most ridiculous terms I’ve ever heard! “Animal and Tree Hugging PRESERVATIONIST” would be a more appropriate term. -
PA just elected a new liberal Democrat governor. I'm not saying Wolf is behing this but the timing makes me pause.

I agree. I totally respect the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance but I did a google search and found nothing on the subject. In a state where hunting is more popular than the beloved Steelers, I would expect this to be all over the news. I don't know, but this must be some Philadelphia liberals idea and I would bet $ their mentor program survives.

I love that truck commericial (if you have seen it) where they are driving around in the mountains looking for a spot where there is NO cell signala and when they find it remark, "PERFECT!" That is my dream!

I would agree 100% if you could get ESPN via internet only. If you aren't a sports fan, then yes this is the way to go!

Looking to get a shotgun barrel rifled.

If you can even find a gunsmith to rifle a regular bird barrel, it will likely cost more than any of those. -

We got a Fire TV this last Christmas with the game pad. Not only is this a great tv player, but has a wealth of free games for the kids to play. We also have ROKU which is probably the best TV player with tons of free TV apps.

Pellets are easier, but you can premeasue powder into speed loaders for hunting. Powder will burn more efficiently. I've hunted in Colorado and you can't use pellets or sabots there, just a thought.

I wonder how a barrel gets bent? I realize it's probably not impossible, but really it must take some serious forct to bend on!
-
Are you shooting powerbelts in a flintlock? Usually only patched round balls shoot well in them as most flints have a slow twist.
-
What were your bad experieances? I used regualr powerbelts and found them very accuate in my thompson omega and always leave a very clean entry and exit wound.
-
The copper plated would not leave a exit wound? What do you mean? I've killed many deer with the copper plated and it left a exit wound every time.

I had DirectTV mainly for the sports. If you aren't a sports fan and you really want to cut the cord. you dont need cable or satelite. You can get a wealth of tv and movies just through internet via Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, ect

I've never heard of cutting rifling either. I don't even think it's possible and if it is probably very expensive. I recommend he just buy an off the shelf rifled barrel. -

You can buy factory rifled barrels for the 870 from Remingiton and a Hastings. I have a Hastings on myy .20 gauge. Very accuarte at 110yds -
When I mentioned killing Germans, my reference was American enemy combatants. It’s true the Eastern front if WW2 in Europe was where the move vicious and longest part of the war was fought. In fact D-Day and at the bulge we fought remnants of what was left over from the eastern front along with some 12yr old new recruits. This whole thread started with the communist x39 and simply put the AMERICAN .30-06 is the superior to any eastern European communist crap. My whole notion was that the .30-06 is superior and I stand by my statement: “The .30-06 has killed more American enemy combatants AND North American big game, than any other bullet.”

the Garand is an awesome rifle and if I could own only one, it would probably be the Garand.

I agree and spend alot of time in Pennsylavnia in order to accomplish this

Looks like there may just be statewide Antler Restricts.

QDM has differant aspects. Habitat being one of the better, but QDM is also about wall-hangers. -
LOL, I think it's legal to hunt with any of those, but I'm not selling my American soul to hunt with Soviet communist junk I'm probably not lugging around that heavy garand in the Alleghenies either, LOL

Perhaps, but you can not tell me the motivation of ARs is more meat in the freezer. It COULD be a side affect the the bottom line desire in ARs is more wall-hangers. -
ok, but the M1903 was an AMERICAN rilfe that shot the perfect .30-06 that killed those Mauser Krauts saving Europe "The .30-06 is never a mistake". -Colonel Townsend Whelen
