Id also reccomend getting the kit with the scan pro headlamp. I liked scanning with the headlamp over using a spot light type of scanner.

Id get a wicked light 403i, i started out with ebay specials and they suck. I then went with the 403i, great light and gun mount.

Heading out tonight. Going to a farm we hit at the end of hunting last week. That sunday night yotes stirred up the farmers cows enough they busted through their fence. Farmer spent monday gettin his cows back. May go to another spot if im feelin it.

The jacket would definitely help, i always layered under armour 3.0 cold weather and a set of fleece pants over that under the bibs.

Selling a xl set of sitka gear. Fanatic jacket is VERY warm in good condition, chest pocket zipper could use some attention. This gets worn 45 degrees and under. Primaloft insulation, cross body zipper, front handwarmer pouch/pocket. Stratus bibs in good shape. No rips anywere. I wear these from 60 degree temps, and layering i wear them down to teens. Smoke free home, always washed a few times a season. Looking to get $250 for the set

Son wanted to go out with me this evening after he got home from school. Cant say no, so we just got out. Im in a tree i havent sat in probably 2 years. Maybe we get lucky tonight!

Holy cow, just got outta bed...got in it a little after 7am.. We did 7 sets, starting at 9pm in Lancaster. Had 2 dogs start talkin back half hour in to that set. No one showed up though. Did have a fox make a appearance. Next one had them going again but wrong side of the road. Had eyes show up on a skinny 4 wheeler path, i couldnt tell for sure if it was a yote or fox. Next stop had 2 packs going on either side of us again no takers. Next stop on new property to hunt had a fox come in but nothing from yotes. Next stop again 2 packs going off but no yotes, 2 fox showed though. Next stop just down the road from that one, put the call out get back to the gun, run what is now one of my favorite yote vocals on my new lucky duck call and MAYBE 12 seconds in a young female came flying in to the call, movin to fast for buddy to shoot. It stopped within 15ft of the call and i dropped her. Probably a 80-90 yard shot, first kill with the .204, and all the new goodies. 1 more set after that and as usual had a single dog respond but wouldn't come in. Got in bed just after 7am lol. Fun, frustrating, and a good learning night.

Couple turkeys fed their way through now...still lookin for the elusive buck.

My neighbor raised and released 105 pheasants sept 1st. Pretty cool hearing them cackle in the morning.

3 doe and 2 fawn just fed their way through at 50-60 yards.

Sittin in a stand on the edge of my field ive hung in the last week. Walking out out counted 7 sets of eyes so figure maybe by first light the will trickle to the far corner of the field. Hopefully 1 is a good buck. Goodluck everyone!

Starting this thread for my predator hunting this year. First night will be tomorrow night, in a 1 day tourney so hope we get some early season action. Ill post up pictures of my setup later as ive gotten a new scope, ir light, tripod and caller for this year. Hope this thread will help anyone interested in starting out yote/fox hunting and also hoping i can learn from more seasoned predator hunters.
