  2. Yea, if i wasnt going for archery i would definitely go during the muzzloader season as it fall perfectly for the rut.
  3. Selling my coyote cannon as its just too much light for my new nv setup. Comes with case, charger, 2 batteries, mount, 850nm ir light and a red led also. Price is firm at $250
  4. Based off the deer i see around here he just looks real thin in the antlers. I guess he coild be a 3.5 but generally they have pretty decent bases and mass.
  5. First wish will always be unlimited wishes...
  6. im guessing hes 2.5. If he makes it a year he will be a definite shooter next year for me. He would be a good one for my brother in law this year. Hes never shot one close to this guy. O and hes at a mock scrap me and my son made a few days ago.
  7. Yes archery is in sept, with a week of muzzloader mixed in there too. @phade success rates are around 10% i think on average. I love bow hunting whitetails so really want the challenge of chasing elk too. Plus less preasure/ hunters during bow compared to muzzloader or rifle.
  8. Kinda why im looking to do this sooner than later. Dont want to hit the point in my life and look back and wish i tried. There are other "cheaper" options than a straight up guide service. They have spike camps set up for you, you get a animal and they will help pack out. No guide during the hunt but you dont need to pack in tents, sleeping bags, cooking stuff. Some have meal plans too, so u dont need to bring any food either.
  9. Certain gmu's u need points, but for were im looking you dont. Ill check out bowsite thanks.
  10. Really thinking i want to head to colorado next year for a archery elk hunt. My fathers uncle lives in montrose CO, so i have a some eyes on the ground to pre scout for me. Just curious if anyone ever ventured into the rockies with a pack on their back and a bow in hand.
  11. Just did last night. Everything went well. Ill upload some pics if i can get the app figured out for the scope.
  12. Seeing if anyones looking for a "new" lefty bow. Mission ballistic 3yrs old, will come with qad drop away rest. Stabilizer and site transfering to my new bow. Draw set at 28 or 28.5" can't remember, weight set at 65lbs. Asking $350
  13. Diamond triumph 70lb limbs Draw is set at 28" or 28.5" Newer Winners Choice strings and cables Toxonics sight, needs a rest $175obo
  14. i had no intentions of ordering a bow today but.... walked into smiths great outdoors in batavia. I got my mission there 3 years ago, my wife bought me a rifle there for christmas last year, and we got our son a new mission bow for his 11th bday this year. I was just lookin around and asked what they had in lefty bows, and he handed me a new mission. Felt good shot good, we got to talking and i mentioned im looking into a DIY archery elk hunt next year. So then he comes back with a Bowtech carbon icon. This bow felt great, its light, the backwall is as solid as it gets and it shoots with no vibrations felt. Dammit...ok, so i ordered the bear bones one with 70lb limbs. Cant wait!
  15. Not seeing any new leagues. Whats the league name?
  16. Is there a link to the league? Im fine with 20
