I've been working a lot of OT lately so I havent been out too much this year. Been out 4 times and only saw 2 deer. At least it sounds like some guys are seeing some movement. I went out yesterday afternoon with my buddy and we saw one deer down a run about 150 yds away as we were walking in. That was it for the entire afternoon. Hopefully I'll get out this Sunday and Monday. Looks like the weather could be a question mark though. Plus it looks like a warming trend coming up.

I decided to go with the Goliath. It only weighs 1lb more than my Viper and I get a little extra room. Ordered it and hope to have it by the weekend. Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Elmo you have to use the Sawyers spray with Permethrin. Works awesome......spray down all your clothes and you will be tick free. I'm not sure if it will help you out at the gay bars though....lol!!!!

Is that made by Field and Stream???? We just had a member of this website fall from a Field and Stream stand I believe. I only go with Summit because I've had my Viper for about 12 years now and they are well made stands. Makes me feel safe up in it so the extra money they cost is well worth it to me.

Try E bay. Usually you can get good prices and not have to pay tax unless its a NY store. Look for free shipping too.

Definitely a Summit. I am looking to upgrade to a Goliath or a Titan myself and giving my Viper to my son. I love their climbers. Well worth the money.

I am thinking of giving my son my Summit Viper climbing stand and treating myself to a new Summit. I am looking at the Goliath or the Titan. I know there is a size difference between the two. I know that the Goliath is a bit bigger than the Viper and that the Titan is bigger than the Goliath. I would like the little bit of extra room they both have but was wondering if the size difference and weight is worth it for the Titan. I know its more expensive than the Goliath. Just wondering if anyone out there has upgraded from a Viper to either of these stands. I appreciate any info. Thanks, Rich
