    Finally saw some does today (at my doe first spot). Had 4 of them walking in towards me from 100 yards out. Problem was they never stopped to graze. They just trucked along without stoping. I decided to take a chance with the last one in the line and pulled back my bow, but she saw me and jumped into the woods. I find ground hunting more enjoyable, but it sure has its challenges. Every single little movement must be calculated. Getting better every mistake though.

    This is 3 days in a row. Seen these same 4 bucks 2-3 times each. Got a real nice 9pt on camera last night. Haven’t seen a freaking doe yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sat again this evening on the ground. Had the same 2pt and 7pt walk by me at 8 yards. They suspected something was up but I stayed there frozen with my leafy head cover. They kept looking but couldn't figure me out. Then they eventually wandered away. Hopefully I will take (see) a doe soon so I can start hunting one of the boys.

    I had a bachelor group of 4 bucks pass by me. A spike, 4 pt, 6 pt and 7 pt. I am hunting town land where it is mandatory to take a doe first... ugh. Why is it when you need a doe, there aren’t any. With my luck, I will probably never see these bucks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Went a total of 5.4 miles in some pretty steep terrain. About 4 miles in I saw two doe. Shot the bigger one. Put too much effort in to not go home with something today. 1.4 mile drag back to car. Pretty tired now! Beginning to think I won’t be getting anything with antlers this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
